    lol

It's that obvious is it. My little girl wanted to play the new Kirby game (honest) and it locked up creating a save so I thought 'perhaps' it needs a little update.

Thanks for the link, much appreciated!

Hey guys, new to the forum but been lurking around reading for about a week. Have a black 4.3u system.
have CFG Loader, USB Loader GX, NeoGamma, and WiiFlow

I have a weird problem that I don't seem to find anywhere else in the forums. Some games (such as mario galaxy, DK, mario party 8) freeze. the game will boot, play fine for a bit, then when the screen goes black on a scene change it will lock up and just stay there. Mario galaxy is different. Game runs fine, but during a video it gets very choppy. it'll play, freeze for two seconds, play.. freeze for two seconds.... repeat..
I've re-installed each of the games to the HDD but it keeps happening. heck, i even went as far to DL an NTSC ISO (**FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLY - I OWN A COPY**) and that does the same thing!! all loaders act the same!

    very frustrating...

but heres my syscheck... let me know if theres anything weird and some tips on how to un-weirdify it. thanks!

    Spoiler

Hello. I'm on 4.3u and followed mauifrogs softmod guide. Weird thing is donkey kong works on USB LOADER GX (newest version), but all other games give me a black screen. I've tried everything and no go. Here is my sys check results. Thanks!

Ok I rolled up my sleeves and did the update! Started with Homebrew already installed and DID NOT Replace my 4.2U with 4.1U (no one every answered what the advantage was) Everything seems fine (had to get my config usb settings back to normal - )
QUESTION: I Swear that CONFIG usb used to say 249 - now it says 248.
Also do I have to go back and mess with game settings now?

Please inspect system - Layout after Softmod any WII

Here is my layout after I ran Softmod any WII - I skipped the 4.1 downgrade - unless anyone can provide a reason why...
Let me know if I am up to date please!

    And WHAT Does STUB Mean?

    Thanks

Your syscheck looks OK. Have you checked to make sure you don't have any sort of standby/power saving feature enabled on your HDD?

Is the default IOS for GX set at 249? Have the other games ever worked before? If not, have you tried reripping them? I few more details as to what you have attempted may help

If you followed the ANY Wii guide, the most compatible cIOS for you is 248, therefore you should leave it where its at.

EDIT: The 4.1 SM is the best SM to be on. 4.2 and 4.3 were just homebrew killers. Also, maui's 4.1 is version patched so even if someone accidentally accepted an update the SM would not be affected. As for stubs, they are put in place by N on IOS that are not used, basically erasing the old IOS. The big N put stubs in the slots used by cIOS in the 4.2 and 4.3 updates, which effectively killed homebrew functionality.

Yep. Turned that off using WD's SmartWare utility. It's just strange.. I double checked my HDD compatibility with the USB list at gbatemp and it shows as 'works' for homebrew and usb loader. its a WDBACY5000ABK, my passport essential 500gb usb 2/3 black.

Try installing d2x v6 base 56 into slot 244, then set one of the games you have been having issues with to load from 244. Not sure if it will fix it or not, but if it does you will know the issue is with the v7a5 d2x and your particular HDD. (You asked for something that would un-weirdify it, so here is a weird idea...lol)
