snes master what sd card are you using by chance?

look I also found this, "As a result, Super Smash Bros. Brawl cannot utilize nor acknowledge SDHC cards. It can only utilize standard SD cards of 2 GB's or less (4 -32 GB's is SDHC range). ", http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110301190955AAGXW4v

    I have a 2gb sandisk.

Does it do this from the retail disc as well? Or just your ISO?

Make sure the HDD is plugged in to the USB port closest to the edge of the Wii?

Your syscheck looks fine. If no discs are being read (Im assuming you mean both backups and originals), I would suspect hardware failure of some sort. Do you hear the drive spin up when a disc is inserted? What is the exact error message that you get?

    Dear cjizzle,

I'm a friend of shara's, and I was working with her to fix her wii on yesterday. I posted this on a few other sites--this is what happened:

It all started when playing Project M; at this time, my wii was not softmodded. However, when playing with some friends one day, it green-screened on me, and my Brawl disc would not work anymore. (An error has occured. Please refer to the Wii operations manual for troubleshooting.) (I used the hackless wii method/wi-fi safe package to play Project M.) I then chose to soft mod my wii, so i could backup my copy of Brawl on my disc to a drive to play it again. However, after the softmod, NO Wii games are recognized! I put every disc I had in the console, it says, "Unable to read the disc; check the wii operations manual for help troubleshooting." Then, when I try to boot up a backup manager (USB Loader GX) and insert any of my Wii game discs, it says, "Error: Can't mount or unknown disc format." Same with NeoGamma, WiiFlow and Configurable USB Loader. Can someone tell me what's going on?!

In addition, her disc drive does sound like it is reading a disc when inserting it into the wii, it just won't recognize any disc that is put into her Wii. We tried backing up her copy of Mario Kart Wii onto a USB stick using USB Loader GX, but upon insertion of the disc, we got the message, "Error: Can't mount or unknown disc format."

Still sounds like something is wrong with the drive itself. Nothing in our guide affects original disc loading. A good test would be to insert a regular video DVD and try to access it using WiiMC. If no dice, its a bad drive. (This only applies because your drive date is 2007...drives newer than 2009 will not read regular DVDs).

If nothing works with wiimc, could be a bad laser. They are SUPER cheap to replace (eBay).

Let us know how the DVD test works.
