They are one and the same, so the answer is no, you will not have problems. IOS236 is simply a copy of IOS36 with all patches applied. The IOS236 installer makes the revision number of 65535. The Any Wii guide makes the revision 54321. Both are the same exact IOS, they just have different revision numbers.

so will it overwrite it and make it 54321? or would it stay on 65535, it won't make any update errors right?

It should overwrite it, thats the way we set up WiiMod and MMM (to overwrite regardless of revision number). Like I said though, it makes absolutely no difference what revision number of 236 you have, they are actually the same IOS.

I need help not sure if this is correct place for this question i did post it on the nand emulation guide thread so i apologise if its a double post. I was trying to get nand emulation for wiiware to work on my hard drive instead of sd card i had all the games in the nand i created with the wiiware games inside and i acccidently hit extract nand in wiiflow. It encryped all my files on the hard drive including regular wii games(even changed letter of hard drive) only folder that is legible is the wiiflow folder inside that there is a folder called nanemu. The wii doesnt play original disk anymore either i did a system check and everything is still fine i can access homebrew channel i have bootmii as ios and priiloder install and i do have a copy of original nand and keys Not sure what to do next. Thanks

    DSI Core Dump Errors Solved

Just an update in case anyone else runs into these problems. I switched from mac to windows and reformatted my card with the panasonic sd formatter. I re-loaded apps and I have not run into any more DSI errors. OS X likes to drop lots of hidden files on the SD card, that could have been causing the problem or the format was not a proper full format like I thought it was.

I never did switch to a Sandisk but I plan on it just in case.

    Thanks for the help everyone.

wierd, when i tried to install the new shopping chanell wad- rvl 21 instead of 20 it gave me an error because of the rev...i don't remember the error number but i remember when i checked it was because of that rev thing. btw that was the reason i installed ios236 rev 65535 instead of rev 54321. that didn't work so i uninstalled the other wad and reinstall without restarting and that helped. any ideas?
p.s- i'm happy for you viruswithshoes

In the Softmod any wii guide (in my sig), look in Chapter 2, Part 1, in a spoiler named "If you are updating the Shop Channel to v21 do this".

In that spoiler, another spoiler exists named "If when installing the Wii Shop Channel you get a -1035 error, do this."

Read the warning and enter the spoiler, "I understand the warning, show me how to do this!"

Follow the steps EXACTLY as shown to delete the existing Shop Channel using Wii Mod 3.2. Then you can install it using the wad supplied or dop-mii.

Ok so I just got into modding, and after going through everything I got USB Loader GX on it. It is able to rip the games, but for some reason it wont play them. When you click on the game it just goes to a black screen. The rips work fine on the dolphin emulator, so its not the rip thats messed up. So, yeah, if anyone is able to help me out, that would be great. Thanks in advance!

That's not a sysCheck. Use the guide on the forums to post a correct one next time (there is a link in my sig to said guide). But anyway, your cIOS are really messed up. Follow the Softmod Any Wii guide (again, link in my sig) and it will fix you up.
