    Spoiler

You have the latest Ios's, so you don't need to update those.
What I would update is your cios's 249 and 250 to v8, go here to get those cios's and install them.Link->D2x Cios Installation Guide.

Also install this cios as well..Cios 223[37+38]
You should be good to go .
Remember not all HDD's are compatible.Link->Usb Compatibility List.

I've got a question. Whenever I try to install a GameCube game on my external hard drive (that is now working with Wii games after the help yesterday) it says there isn't enough space available. Is it not possible to have GameCube and Wii games on the same partition or is my USB loader configured wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

Off-topic for the purpose of this thread. There's a couple guides for this, use the search feature.

    Hi!
It's been a while since I've been around, so I'm not sure if my wii is correctly soft-modded, even though I tried to stay up to date as much as possible. I can't get my GameCube backups running from my USB drive, I use USB Loader GX(the latest version, I believe 3.0). The loader doesn't see any of my Gamecube games. I've changed the path to my games folder under custom paths, and I made sure my partition is FAT32, primary. If it's any help, my wii games are functional. Here is the syscheck report from my wii. I'm sorry about my English, it's far from perfect, I know

    Thank you so, so much

That's a little bit of a hodge podge there. Follow the Softmod Any Wii guide (from the option "If you Have Homebrew Channel" installed). You got hermesrodries V6, d2x V8, d2x V7, and missing a few (optional, but good idea) others. Once you get that sorted, you'd do better to ask in one of the GC guides (yes, there are a couple).

Thank you! I've been researching about this issue but haven't been able to make it work. I'll follow the guide once more to make sure I have everything installed correctly :-)

Thanks for your time :-) I really appreciate it!

    My syscheck / problem

Hello! i softmodded our wii a couple of years ago, following a guide, didn't really know what i was doing, gave me a headache but surprisingly got it working in the end! Now we recently wanted to play singing games which requires using the top USB slot. I read about needing to install certain patches for it to work and thought i did it right but still not working. I'm just using standard a USB mic, does it have to be the official logitech ones? i've read mixed results on this

    Heres my syscheck:

It is recommended to use the official ones for best compatibility. We have seen a few non official work sometimes. Best thing you could do to start would be to do a full update on your mod by following the Softmod ANY Wii guide. Then, follow the Ultimate Guide to Music and Dance Games. That will give you the best place to start and figure out if your mic will work or not.
