MIOS is for GameCube stuff. I can't remember what BC is.
    BC is also for GC

Need next steps (Best Guide) to update my wii softmod

I softmodded our wii a while back. Since it worked flawlessly for so long, never wanted to update and mess something up. A few games havent worked such as Kirby's Return to Dreamland. But my main goal now is to attach a 3DS Skylanders Portal of Power to the USB port not being used by my HD. Can someone help me to best way to update my wii hack?

btw, using USB Loader GX Rev874c ISO249(rev 14)

Your softmod is really out of date. Run through the Softmod Any Wii guide (link in my sig) to update every thing. Check the troublesome games guide (link also in my sig) for help with your game-specific issues.

Way out of date, do as dniMretsaM said and follow the softmod any wii guide. Since you have such an old version of usb loader gx you will want to do THIS too.

Just did my first Wii Mod - Verify SYSCHECK?

    Hello:

this site has been invaluable in getting me to where I am with softmodding my Wii. Yes, I've read....and reread, before performing the softmod
Just did my first Wii Mod...Actually, it was my second, but the wised up and followed your "Softmod any Wii" guide, before I posted here. The problem I am encountering is that Neogamma, USB Loader and USB Loader GX do not recognize my USB drive. I'm assuming it is because it is a drive in a USB enclosure and the drive is not on the compatibility list. Because it's not, I'm not asking to troubleshoot that, but, I would sure appreciate someone giving my syscheck output a quick review, just to make sure it all looks to be in order. I want to make sure the Wii is in order, before I go and purchase a new USB HDD from the compatibility list.

I am going to attempt to add that as a spoiler, I've not done that before, please forgive me if it doesn't post correctly.
    Any feedback is much appreciated

Thank you Jax. You clarified things and got me on my way. Is there anything else you would recommend updating?

You should be all good to go, now that you updated your mod.

I'm having issues loading a few of my games via ALL of the USB loaders. For some games (i.e., Hip hop Dance Experience) I get the white safety screen and then it goes straight to a black screen where my whole system locks up. For other games (i.e., Super Sentai Battle Ranger Cross) It just boots to a black screen and locks up as well.

I'm running into various issues and no matter what changes I make they don't seem to make a difference.

Below I've posted my Syscheck. Hopefully someone can help me. Thank you in advance!

After updating your HBC, go here to update your Cios's to D2x v8.Link->D2x Cios Installation Guide.

Stay away from Pimp my wii unless you want to Brick your wii.
Follow our guide, The Soft Mod Any Wii Guide.(Link is at the bottom of my Signature.)
Start from Soft Mod With Homebrew Channel Installed.
Follow it all the way through.
Please read the guide a few times before proceeding.

That's for the Gamecube, by the way.[/QUOTE]
