Thanks for the suggestion. I took on the update from wii which changed the system from 3.1U to 4.3U - and then followed the "Softmod any Wii" guide and it was a piece of cake after that. Have a good one!

Help with Kirby's Return to Dreamland

    Hi,

I have been trying to play Kirby's Return to Dreamland on Wiiflow (Most Current Version as Of 2 Days Ago). I have hit the freezing problem with Kirby and along the way I followed a few guides about updating IOS's and cIOS's. Anyways long story short, I screwed everything there was to screw up, and I ended up following mauifrog's guide to soft modding the wii as a restore attempt for my IOS's and learning everything all over again. I want to make sure that everything on my sys check looks good. Also if anyone knows how to solve the Kirby problem I'm still working on it and any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks so much.

Also is it weird that when I am looking at the Ios's in Wii Mod v3.2 that they do not say they have Trucha bug, NAND permission, Flash, etc. They say they are all stubs and whatnot however syscheck says I have these things, I thought it might have been a semi-brick, but so far no problems (this has been going on for a few months now).

You just have extra cios's...you do not need to do that Guide and I would not recommend doing so.
Your wii is fine, you do not need to do anything.

I would just run through the Guide one more time and start from the some point as before , but this time follow it to a "T".
You wont mess anything up by re-modding the wii, this Guide will overwrite everything with out deleting anything.
Ok Jax...I think I got it.

I ran thru the guide like I should have the first time
I got no errors but here is my syscheck anyway if you would not mind taking a look to see if it looks ok

Wii games suddenly won't run from HDD and .CSV file does not generate on SD

I have been having a problem recently getting USB Loader GX to load some of the games I have on my HDD. Mario Party 8, in particular, worked just two days ago, but now when I start it, it freezes on the first screen of the game explaining the use of the wrist strap. Many other games are acting similarly all of a sudden. Some load, but some will not when they were tested working just days ago. I updated GX to a newer version and followed the steps under the "Sofmods with HOMEBREW CHANNEL installed" spoiler of the "Softmod Any Wii" tutorial to use Hackmii and update my softmod and Homebrew Channel. I even tried installing Configurable USB Loader and it did the same exact thing when I selected Mario Party 8, so now I'm not sure if it's a software problem, like the wrong cIOS or whatever, or there's something corrupt about the game disc's image on the HDD.

I also downloaded and ran IOS Info SysCheck 2, but received an error with a red "X" stating "Failed to get the stored TMD for IOS36." Then I checked my SD card and found no .csv file so I am unable to provide it (I'm assuming it would be on the root folder but I even searched the entire card for ".csv" and came up empty).

I'm sure this is just something simple I'm overlooking but, honestly, I'm still not very savvy with how all of this works and don't really know what to try next.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Update: I ran IOS236 Installer and Simple IOS Patch and, although the Wii games still freeze, I was able to get SysCheck to run to completion.
    Here's the report:
