EDIT: Disregard this post, I fixed the problem. Reading the post above mine, I used an older Wii Remote and MMM successfully booted. Though I am going to leave this post in case anyone else has the problem too, and this was the solution.

Hey guys, up until now I haven't ever had any problems softmodding Wiis, but for some reason I can't get MMM to load at all while doing Mauifrog's Hack Any Wii guide.

This was the first Wii I ever tinkered with, and I'm sure it's pretty messed up inside, so I was wondering if you guys can help me troubleshoot what's going on, and how I can get MMM to boot.

    Here's my Syscheck

    Spoiler

Again, any help would be appreciated. I'll be getting back to scouring the forums again to see if anyone else had a similar problem, and a solution.

I bought my Wii already modded. Then I bought Zelda: Skyward Swords.
I am unable to play it from the disk or from my uploader. The disk freezes the Wii(although it used to restart the Wii until I tried to fix it) and the uploader restarts the Wii.
I spent 7 hours on sunday trying to learn about modding and upgrading it etc. Needless to say, I am not hack savey and I am a big nooob.
The following syscheck is the result of my labours. Please advise if this is wrong or okay or if maybe I have some settings wrong on the wii loader.

    Spoiler

Also, I don't remember updating the Wii to 4.3u, it was 3.1u when I started on sunday. I don't know short forms like MMM.

Your mod is outdated and you have Cioscorp's installed.
Follow the soft mod any wii guide,The link is at the bottom of my signature.
Please read it a few times, then Proceed.
Start from Soft Mod With Homebrew Channel Installed.
This will overwrite everything ,So you will not need to delete anything.

Keep all Question's in regards to that Guide..In that thread.

black screen with gc usb loader

greetings! it's been awhile since i sold my last softmodded wii, got one a day or so ago and attempted to soft mod it yesterday.

I used the "Softmod Any Wii' guide. things went smoothly, I then used the DIOS MIOS 2.0 guide so I could try GCN backups from my HDD.

When I went thru the DM guide, I dl'd the newly-available DM 2.2 wad, which caused me constant 'apploader' errors that I am seeing others get with this update as well. I since found a link to 2.1, so I uninstalled the 2.2 wad from wad manager 1.7 and installed 2.1. I was now getting the black screen when loading games after the DIOS MIOS screen, whether from usb loader gx, cfg usb loader, etc. In researching black screen troubleshooting, I found the d2x cIOS guide and installed the v8 final to 249[56] and 250[57]. Still getting the black screen once the DIOS MIOS logo disappears. Have tried my Simpsons Hit & Run and Sonic Adventure Dir. Cut isos. I have my loaders updated, the only place I saw the option to switch from 'DML' to 'DM' was in CFG loader but the same thing happens regardless.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks

Nothing is wrong with your System Check, everything looks good.
Dios Mios does not use Cios or Ios's.
It's The Dios Mios Version you are using ,it's not working.
    Try this one.-->Dios Mios v2.0

do you still recommend i uninstall the 2.1 via wad manager 1.7 and install that one, as i normally would?

*welp, tried that and the same thing continues unfortunately. where should I continue to pursue support for this issue?

Alright I didn't realize you had Dios Mios v2.1 installed,That one is o.k. to use.

You have to go through your option's in your Loaders,When you select a game press the Settings and turn off progressive scan if it's on.
Make sure you have a Disc in the Drive.
Some games will play without the need of disc, Go to settings again and put on No Disc.
    See if that works.
It also should be noted ,that not all HDD's Are compatible.
Go here so you can get more support if that doesn't work.Link-->Dios Mios Guide

I am still having the exact same issue after following the Softmod any Wii Guide from the point you said to go from.
    Here is the new syscheck

Do I need special files for Zelda Skyward Sword? (all the other games I have on the HDD work)

I didn't update cause I had the 4.3 System Menu and it says "If you would like to update your Wii IOS- NOT needed for 4.3 wiis". Later in the guide I downgraded to 4.1. Should I update now?

I checked out the Skyward Sword Guide and did what it said for my issue....didnt' work.
