    Spoiler

Everything is perfect in your system check.

Try a thumb drive or a different HDD with one of the games that's giving you problems,If possible.
Seeing how you already re-ripped the games, I doubt it's that.

Is your HDD Formatted with Primary and active ?
Try changing the wire that connects the drive to the wii ,if possible.
Could be the Drive is at Fault,Is failing.

Hello! I've introduced myself already in the appropriate forum, but why not again? My name is Patrick, but you may call me Psnacks. Nice to meet everyone!

First of all, I followed the "Softmod ANY Wii guide" to softmod my console.

My issue has come up with the game, 'Kirby's Return to Dreamland'. When I first inserted the disc, I sensed there was going to be an issue when the game seemed to lag in loading on the main system menu. Sure enough, when it loaded and I started the game - it would show me the wrist strap message, flash to an image telling me to turn the Wii-mote sideways, and the cut off to a light pink screen that said, "An error has occurred. Press the eject button, remove the disc, and turn off the power to the console. Wii manual blah...blah..." My Wii-mote would then turn off, and if I attempted reconnecting it, the lights on the remote would flash and then turn off again. Getting off of this screen required restarting the console.

I tried booting the disc from CFG and GX with the same results.

When I attempted installing the game to my flash drive (works) I received the message, "WARNING: Read Error (-2)" (also a bunch of numbers in there starting with 1163...) also in both CFG and GX. It installed (attempted twice) all the way up to 99% before the error starts spamming the screen, then just finishes the installation - errors and all.
When I loaded it from the hdd, it did the same thing as it did when I tried booting the game from the disc - wrist strap screen, sideways wii-mote, error message.

Everywhere I look the "solution" either doesn't work or isn't there at all... not even on the first page of this thread. I've tried installing both v6 and v8-final of dx2 cIOS following the instruction of batching <56>, <149> and installing <57> <150> with it. I was unsure what to do in the slot maps, so I simply hit A again while the 200 slot was highlighted. I tried booting the game from the disc again from the system menu, and that didn't work. Then again in CFG and GX with the IOS settings set to auto/global, with another failed attempt when I set the IOS to 149. The same (-2) error appeared at 99% when I tried installing it, and the same old error message within the game when I tried loading from the hdd again with auto/global/149 IOS settings.

The game is slightly damaged with very light scratches, but loads up quickly and perfectly on a different, unmodified Wii. This has led me to believe that I am getting this because I messed up somewhere, or because the lens in my Wii is damaged - although my other games, Mario Kart Wii and Skyward Sword load up from the disc and hdd flawlessly...

    Here's a system check:

    Spoiler

Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

Just wanted to follow up. I re-ripped New Super Mario and it worked. Not sure what happened, but it's the outcome we were looking for. Just wanted to say thanks for verifying my build - at least I can feel confident that the system is fine if the games act up at all.

Quoted from my first post. I looked, the solution there did not work.

I looked at your System check again , and it is fine.

This could be your Drive, try cleaning the drive with a kit.
The game having scratches can cause it to error out when installing it to the HDD,as well give you error's when loading through the Disc drive.
Since you are getting error's while installing the game, I would presume that's why you are getting error's when trying to play from the HDD.

This could be both your drive and disc, and that's why the game plays on your friends wii and not yours.

Can you rip the game from a friends wii to your HDD?
So you can see if you get the same error or if it will just play.
