You definitely can use an overhaul.

Follow the Soft mod any wii Guide. The link is at the bottom of my Signature.
Start from Softmod with Homebrew Channel Installed

Follow it all the way through. This will over write everything,no need to delete anything.
Please read everything a few times, then proceed with the guide.

Thanks a lot jax. I figured I was going to need an overhaul, haven't really done much with my files in a long time.

I ran the wbfs2fat process and everything converted properly with no problems. I plugged my wii into the correct

I tried running the forwarders as well as straight from the homebrew channel for these results.

    1. USBLoader_GX got stuck on "initialize usb device" and ultimately could not find my drive. If I remove my drive from the back of the Wii, it will prompt me with "Loading... Waiting for HDD" and give me a count down. If I plug it back in, it still won't find the drive.
    2. WiiFlow was just an endless loop of the WiiFlow logo flashing like the old Mario logo and I had to hard reset
    3. Configurable froze on the CFG logo for a while, and then gave me "searching for config.txt and also attempted to find my drive, but couldn't. My wiimote also lost connection to my Wii and would not synch.

    *****EDIT*****

I believe it's all working now. All 3 loaders are functioning, although the Configurable forwarder is broken (I don't use it anyway). Homebrew Channel also will pick up my usb device as well.

All that was needed this time was to plug in and turn on the HDD before turning my Wii on. I may have found a new favourite loader now. WiiFlow was at first, but GX looks nice

Thanks again for all the help

    ****2nd EDIT****

Back to not working again. I loaded up Loader GX, downloaded a bunch of covers and art work, tried to load up Kirby's Return to DreamLand and I got the white screen and froze.

Upon restarting, nothing works again. I'll look into this further once I get home.

Did you merge the two fat32 partitions and set it to primary and active?

Sent using the WiiHacks app. Please excuse the brevity, punctuation and spelling.

Weird Problem With CIOS 222 and 223 USB LoaderGx

    Hey Guys,

I've been having this strange problem whenever I try to load a game with CIOS 222 or 223 in USB Loader GX. I've been doing a good deal of searching and updating, so I figured I should post a syscheck here first. The syscheck is (hopefully) in spoilers, below.

    Spoiler

The problem that i'm having is that whenever I try to load a game using CIOS 222 or 223 the system hangs on the black screen for a few seconds and then just reboots to the Wii menu. This doesn't ever happen when using IOS 249 which is my default. The only reason that I care overly is that Goldeneye always hangs on loading at the same point and the posted Goldeneye guide said to use 222 or 223.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Adam

I wasn't able to merge the two fat32 partitions; windows told me that it couldn't because the 2 partitions were not adjacent to each other.

Instead I formatted my 2.2GB old fat32 partition into NTFS and merged the 235GB ntfs partition with the 2.2GB ntfs partition. Now I have half fat32 and the other half NTFS on my 500GB HDD. I didn't set anything to "primary" and/or "active".

When i was in Partition Magic, nothing blatantly TOLD me if the partition was primary and/or active. I tried browsing the information and found nothing. Both drives are being read in windows though. Both my new fat32 and NTFS partitions are readable. And it WAS readable that once before I had my silly problem with Kirby (I should have tried an old game I've played, I knew it).

I just went into Partition Magic and made the drive "active".

Also tried booting with a usb device in both slots, still won't recognize my drive. Programs KNOW there's something plugged in, as they freeze for a while attempting to read. On the moment that I unplug the usb cable from the back of the Wii or power off my drive, the loader will unfreeze and prompt me about no loadable drive/partition.

Have you had a look at the Blackscreens & Freezes-Causes and Solution guide.Look Here
Your System checks look good,Although it could use an update on your Ios's.

This is how your Ios's should look like

Remember, Since your loading from usb loader, those outdated Ios's will not cause what your experiencing.
Usb loading is dependent on Cios's.
Have a look at that link I gave you above.

    Jax,

Thanks, I actually did look at that thread previously. My Cios's, and loader are all up to date, the HDD is on the list of supported drives and properly formatted, and indeed works with all of the games but one on CIOS 249. I can't imagine this issue could be caused by a bad copy because i'm having it with every game that I try to load with CIOS 222 or 223, but they all work fine with 249.

In regards to the IOS's, i'll probably get around to updating them one of these days, but I really do only use the hard drive at the moment, so I just haven't yet.

    Thanks,

    Adam

Have you try replacing Cios222 and 223? As they could be corrupted.
