Thanks...but is there any app out there now that will reliably create wads on the wii? With ShowMiiWads I believe I would need to nand dump first and then extract. I would like in my tool belt an app to do this on the wii, preferably working on the usb (sans SD card).

    thanks!

I posted a system check in the Wad Manager thread, but then realized it'd probably be better served here.

    Spoiler

My Wiimote keeps turning off after I choose an IOS to use. I'm assuming I'm not using the correct IOS, or I am not properly modded? I followed the direction carefull (or so I thought), did I do something wrong?

Stubs in 2xx = bad. You dont have any cios installed. I'd recommend getting some. The anywii guide in my sig is a great place to look.

Thank you very much for the VERY fast reply. Am I safe in just installing them from my current Wii status, or should I revert back to "virgin" Wii status like I've read in a few threads? There are contradicting statements on this, as some say that you can't really take your Wii back to before it was modded, but others have told people to remove all mods and start over before installing other CIOSs.

Again, thank you very much for the help.

Our guide, if you follow the whole thing, basically overwrites everything. So no, you dont need to do anything.

    Some notes:
    * Since you're on 4.3, you can skip the optional IOS pack.
    * If you have done a nand backup, you can skip to chapter 2. Otherwise do a nand backup first.
    * You have bootmii installed as IOS and HBC running on IOS58 (good) so you're in good shape.

Hi there. I am trying to run a system check but i guess my SD card is full. It's only a 1GB. when i copied all the files on the 1GB card over to a 4GB and insert it in my wii it's giving me the four icons and my wii remote won't work. I wanted to make sure all my files were updated, and I have the latest stuff to play games. I didn't mod it myself, and I have no clue on how any of this works. Can someone help me out please, and point me in the right direction? I sure would appreciate it. Thanks -Jenn

I'd been VERY slowly working through the guide so as not to make a mistake, and that's where the problem arose I guess. I took such long breaks in between each of the steps over the course of two weeks (yeah, paranoid), that I came back one day thinking I finished the rest of the guide.

After finishing from chapter 2 and onward, everything worked out perfectly for me.

    Thank you!

trying to install d2x after following 'softmod any wii' guide long time ago

    Dear all,

After succesfully following the 'softmod any wii' guide a long time back various games (such as zelda skyward sword) are giving a black screen after starting up the game. (it was originally chipped with a Wiikey when I bought it)

Apparently I now need to install d2x cIOS first and then cfg v70 after that.

When following the instructions for the d2x install via the HBC slot 249 is occupied and the install fails.
The advice in the thread about the d2x install is to post a syscheck if updating a Wii that was previously softmodded.

As the guide for d2X did not work for me, I am now here posting my syscheck (used beta17) for a kind expert to help me out:
If I brick it my kids will be rather disappointed, and living in Uganda(Africa) there are not many places to go for help if I do!)

Thanks a lot, as I am sitting here with sweaty palms!

    Kind regards, Pjotr

    Sanity syscheck please

Hey guys. I'm still confounded by lockups when trying to play through a retail rip of CoD MW3. I would be extremely beholdin' if someone could look at my config and tell me if it's deficient or not. Thanks!!
