    Black screen problem

Recently started getting a black screen that could be fixed by restarting the Wii. Now I can't make it work. This is while using USB Loader GX channel v2.0 IOS222 (Rev 65535). It still runs disc fine but as soon as I select a game in GX it black screens.

Could be a few things. First, try updating to the latest version of GX. Also, what format is your HDD in?

Crazy enough after I did this syscheck it started working, but I have also now updated my ISO58 and updated to v7 of cIOS. The HDD is in WBFS format as per WBFS Manager 3.0. I'm going to repost my new syscheck here in a minute for no other reason then that it may help someone else out some where down the line. I thought about updating to the newer GX but last time I tried to use a forwarder I couldn't get it to work.

Is there a link to dl the old channel just in case this forwarder doesn't work?

Wow! That softmod is really old mate. Follow the "softmod any Wii" guide step by step, and you'll have an up to date softmodded wii.

    Hi!

So to put it simply I was applying texture mods to my Monster Hunter Tri NTSC-US iso, brres files from my NTSC-J iso to be exact and I ended up causing some serious damage to my Wii. I'm not new to modding Tri, as I've been making custom quests and texture mods for this and other games for quite some time but I was working really late at night and skipped a few crucial steps that ended up making the mod not work properly. I went to equip the weapon I had modded and the game froze, then I went to hunt a monster later and discovered that all the monsters in the game had turned into ghosts i.e. I can barely see them, can't attack them but they can still see and attack me.

If I just run the disc there's no problem, but if I run the disc through Gecko the same problem occurs. If I run an iso of the game through USB Loader GX the problem occurs (even after running clean, unmodded iso) and the I figured out after taking my USB out and opening uo the iso that the 1st partition of the game had been deleted at some point.

I can go into more detail about what exactly occured after I did this if you want me to. I'm not even sure if this is a type of problem that can be diagnosed with a system check, but I've tried everything I can think of to fix this and it just isn't working. I'm convinced I've got some kind of bug in my Wii, specifically my Homebrew Channel and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the matter. Thank you in advance for any possible explanations because this has left me completely stumped.

Anyway, sorry for the lengthy post. Here's my system check:

    hey guys, got 3 questions:
    1) is my syscheck o.k? (i followed maui's guide and updated everything except the sm 4.1, I'm on 4.2e)
    2) can i still downgrade to sm 4.1 or need to follow the whole guide again?
3)when i'm connecting to the internet it asks me to update (on priiloader i enabled "block online update" and i saved the settings and did it more then once) is that ok? if one of the kids will press "yes" on update wii going bye bye?
    thanks in advance

Your syscheck shows an out of date mod. Look at the softmod any wii guide linked in my signature and update it. Then find the mw3 guide we have on the site to make that game run.
