I installed Mauifrog's guide about a year ago. I tried updating my Wii the other day so I could use Wiiflow and run The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.

After following a couple guides, I managed to cause none of my CFGs to work - only Wiiflow will even get past a black screen, but games that worked before won't load at all.

I didn't brick the Wii, but I've fouled something up. I still have access to Homebrew Channel and MMM.

I've think I've really messed up several files (my fault) and basically just want basic game back-up functionality. I'm unsure what to do next and would really appreciate help.

    Spoiler

Your syscheck looks fine, apart from IOS249. Your IOS249 has a base of [37],
where it should have a base of [56]. My guess is that's why alot of games aren't
    loading.
Also, with the loaders that aren't going passed a black screen, make sure you've
updated them to the latest revision, because the older revisions don't support
    the d2x cIOS.

Please help - USB Loader not working / games freeze

    Hi all

I purchased the kids a wii for christmas and am going slightly insane trying to set it up so they can assess all the games via usb loader and external hard drive.

I following the softmod any wii guide by mauifrog which seemed to go fine but I have had many problems with the usb loader.

First, while using a WD my passport external HD the USB loader would freeze during the back up or if I loaded the games from my computer to the hardrive the games would show up but then either freeze at the loading please wait screen or during the game.

I have since tried another HD and am now using a seagate Expansion Portable Drive (1.5 TB, STAX1500300). Now I have no problem Backing up the games but they are still freezing during loading (or shortly after loading).

This has become a very expensive and frustrating experience for me My sister followed the same guides and hers works great.

If anyone out there can help I would be forever grateful!!!

    I am using:

    Mac OS X 10.6.8

    Sandisk SD 2GB

seagate Expansion Portable Drive (1.5 TB, STAX1500300)

    Wii 3.4e

I have run a syscheck - results follow...

    Spoiler

    (hope the spoiler worked)

    Cheers,

    K

I used this guide http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...ide-fat32.html however had to skip the step which changed the SMAT STATUS from "Not supported" to "ok" because I was unable to click on "Verify" and "Repair Permissions" as suggested.

lol. Sorry - I was thinking...wow that was quick

Thanks, I'll try updating 249 in the morning (though I had the same errors before with 56 into 249) since I'll have to download wads manually. CFG and GX are both up to date and I've tried launching via NeoGamma. Any thoughts as to why my wireless would go away? The system sees my router, but won't connect to it. I've tried re-connecting to the router but I get the same error. Is there something in the Any Wii wads that could have done it?
