As I am kinda noob to this, can you please explain what too look for, how to check and how to correct???
I just seems to be random, sometimes my usb HDD works but mostly after selecting the game and pressing start the cfg loader just freezes.
Also when starting the usb loader it states the version 70 and 248 at the bottom

    You help is much appreciated.

in the loader setting you can change the cios that the game runs on, post a sys check so we can see what you have installed

quick question though. Can you set every game seperately on which cios to run with the loader?

thanks for quick answer. I use forwarder to go to usb loader, and when i quit game (using home button) i return to usb loader.
but the black screen i get also when restarting wii and using the HBC instead of the channel.

Make sure you are using the latest stable version (which I think is v70) of config usb loader and make sure you have set it up correctly with this link.
Most games should work fine with a cIOS with a base of 56. In your case slot 249. If games are freezing I have found reripping the game from the original disc works.

I have cfg usb loader v70 and it uses 248 (at least it says so on the load screen, dont know if that means anything when you state that in my case it is slot 249)
And i think i have set it up correctly, I used the Mauifrog guide to softmod my Wii.

will try reripping the games which not load correctly
But still the strange thing is that sometimes the loader just freezes when trying to start the game, sometimes the loader just produces the black dump screen and sometimes it seems to work ok.

Question.. on the games that black screen, have you gone into the game options in CFG and tried different IOS's to play from?

Did I come off like a jerk?? Read more here
