My wii can't read discs anymore... no more Gamecube games?

So my wii stopped reading discs a while back (the motor died or something), but thankfully I had USB Loader GX installed so I could play my wii games anyway. However, for my Gamecube games, I can't (as far as I know) play them through USB Loader GX. So I'm asking, is there any other possible way to play my Gamecube games? I've done alot of research and it looks to me, that the only way I can do it right now is to get a SD Gecko and stick that into my Wii's Gamecube memory slot. But I don't know the details on that.

So is this the only way I'm going to get to play my Gamecube games? Or should I just go out and buy a Gamecube or something? Thanks for any help you can provide.

You are referring to Swiss probably. There is a guide in my sig. It's not 100% compatible and has a bunch of issues. Otherwise you are SOL with GC on the Wii without replacing your drive or buying a GC as you said

Ok, thank you for the quick reply. I'll check out Swiss and see if that helps.
