[ My fault for not looking at the right place. I deleted my channel and I am using a forwarder (so, I can update the USB loader easily). I had to rename one of those files as boot.dol.

I do have a question too. Has anybody here tried ntfs or /ext1/ext2 (Unix) successfully with GX 2.1? GBATEMP said ntfs support is unstable.
Actually, i'm having trouble installing the forwarder with this 2.1 version.
I know these steps for installing the wad
so I install the forwarder v2.0
but when I try to launch the channel from the menu; the Wii freezes with a black screen...

any idea what might be wrong ?

(for the record; i haven't made updates for a long time :
i did it twice via the usb loader interface update function and I did the 2.1 update with a dol)

Did you get that fixed? I did have the black screen for some games. Do you have IOS58? Check this When I upgraded to GX 2.0, I had the same problem. If it does not work post a syscheck, somebody might be able to help you. BTW after getting Homebrew 1.0.8 to run on ISO 58, I updated to system menu 4.3U as suggested by wiibrew. I think many here do not recommend that.

hows your hdd formatted? ntfs, fat32 or wbfs ?

try removing the channel and just use the forwarder

Im using a seagate expansion 3.5" 2tb drive NTFS formatted and usbloader GX2.1 + forwarder channel works great I even use the forwarderDOL and priiloader 0.6 so when i turn my wii on it boots straight to usbloader GX2.1

    my cios setup is:HBchannel 1.08
    249 (56) v20 default
    250 (57) v20
    and
    222,223(37/38),224

Is anyone else seeing Rev1097 is available message and when updating getting the Filesize is -1 byte message? I did download usbloader gx and copy the files directly to the usbloader gx directory the Wii uses on the sd card. My questions are: 1)how do I know what version of GX I am using when I click on the usbloader gx channel (I see in settings a credit option but it doesn't seem to list the current version for what is installed) and 2)why would I keep getting that error message about the file size being -1 byte? I would like to fix this so that future updates work. I am surprised I have an isoteric error message on my Wii and no one else is reporting this...I am curious by nature and am keeping one eye on this. The good news is usbloader gx is loading and working...sure would like to confirm the version as the Wii sees it...

To answer part of your question.... click on credits than look at the top right corner of the screen. It will say the version #

I am still using 2.0 so I can't help with the other questions
