    wode for softmods?

I have a question? I just heard about wode and I have b soft-modded wii.I was wondering couldn't we just use the wode homebrew app and we would be able to play gc games backups through usb faster? All credit goes to me if this actually works!

    "Faster" ? Compared to what?

The answer is only if you have a WODE.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Possibly but a modchip also alters the way your disc drive reads stuff. The Wii Optical Disc Emulator probably make the wii think its playing a gamecube disc in the disc drive, making it possible. A softmod cannot do this because of the MIOS shutting down the SD slot and the USB slots so they will not work since they were not present in the GC.

yeah but, the same way the wode tricks the wii, couldn't we put (or transfer)the same features the wode does into a homebrew app. whoever created wode can probably just add that functionality to a app. That way we are are waiting for Dios-Mios to arrive?

by faster I mean as in the time we would have to wait for a usb-gc backup loader.

it could be possible the same way we got homebrew without hard-modds we can get gc usb loading without wode. we need to put more effort and STOP throwing our favorite gc games in the trash. we all now we miss our gc games/want to either revisit or have new adventures with the gc games we never played.(like me I never played wind waker and i want to because I saw chuggaconroy's let play on it on utube.)

Better put some effort in it then and write yourself a loader. It's not possible to use Wodeflow without a WODE.

Give it a shot. Don't you think if it was possible then it would already exist in some form? I don't even think the source code for WODE is released.

LOL. I think you need to do some research on the WODE and how it works. Essentially consider it a mini computer running a modified version of Linux that tricks the Wii into thinking it is playing a disc. The WODE's HDD plugs into the WODE not the Wii. And don't hold your breath for DIOS-MIOS...It doesn't work and the project is dead. About the closest you'll come is Swiss.
