Is a WBFS Partition necessary to my External HD.

I have a Transcend 500gb external HD fat32 with approx 150gb of data already written and I need to back up my DVD Wii games. How do I safely create a partition in WBFS file system (Wii) without deleting the existing data. Or, can I create a game folder on the existing FAT 32 partition without the need for a WBFS partition and will the games copy over and play without deleting my data.

You cam format to FAt32, WBFS or NTFS it's your choice. I use WBFS and it works great. Go into the recommended guides, tutorials forum and you will find a guide to format the drive to wbfs by gen3sf

No there is absolutely no need for WBFS anymore.

Use FAT32 or NTFS (FAT32 is better for more things).
    Damn I suck!!!!

Hi and thanks for all the replies.
So its safe to leave the data on my FAT32 external HD, no need to partition to WBFS and just use USB Loader GX to...

Install -- Load USB Loader GX -- Insert Game Disk -- Install

Change Sub Directories -- Settings > Game Load > FAT: Use Directories

    Change Boot IOS -- Boot/Standard

Great. I'll give it a try.

If you're using FAT32 use CFG USB Loader

OK thanks for all the help. Downloading Wiiflow now.

Do I need to remove GX before installing Wiiflow?
