    Wiiflow not consistently working.

I recently installed wiiflow and when loading up normally, the disc drive blinks once, then the games load. When my wiiflow is not working the disc drive constantly blinks and i cant do anything on my wii except pull the plug. Is this something i did wrong?

I was having the same problem running Wiiflow 2.2 RC-1, so I downgraded back to Wiiflow 2.1 r92 and now it works great. Downloads - wiiflow - Project Hosting on Google Code

THanks but i picked up(Wiiflow 2.1a2 - cIOS 222, r92, 5 Themes included, see changelog) and installed to sd but im still not getting any luck. Is it neccessary to extract to the usb root, because i do that also.

Folder structure should be like this
    x:\apps\wiiflow\boot.dol
    x:\wiiflow\All of wiiflow folders

    Post a system check.

Using 249 rev17 I assume you are using a WBFS formatted hard drive, which is technically still supported but not recommended by the lead designers of Wiiflow. Occasional black screens on many revisions (including current releases) past R25 can happen. FAT32 is suggested and highly compatible with Wiiflow now.

When my wiiflow is not working the disc drive constantly blinks and i cant do anything on my wii except pull the plug. Is this something i did wrong?
This sounds like your hard drive has idled too long and has fallen asleep. Happens to me all the time when I leave the main menu up too long or I've been playing an emulator. Unplug the HDD from the usb port and plug it back in. Give a few seconds to reinitialize. If this does not solve the problem, try my suggestion above.

You might consider continuing to run Wiiflow_222 (bit more consistent in my experience) instead of 249 in addition to everything above, and following Stomp_442's Hermes IOS guide in the tutorials section to update your IOS202 and install 224.

To be concise, I use the following with little to no issue:

    -222 v4 base 38
    -223 v4 base 38+37
    -224 v5.1 base 57
    -Wiiflow r304 v222
-FAT32 formatted WD HDD single partition

I am actually using a fat32 formatted drive using the krank tutorial. I am very new to this and need a bit of help. what is the alternative to cios249 rev17? I just followed a tutorial and i guess thats what was put on. If there is something better i will use it.

Rev17 is fine but it isn't compatible with FAT drives, so trying to run Wiiflow under 249 with a FAT formatted drive won't work on rev17. Hence,

When i use the 249, i just get the please wait screen. What am i doing wrong?
If you wanted to use 249 you'd need to update to 19, 20, or 21. I haven't used 21 so couldn't say, but people don't seem to be having much trouble with it.

Hermes 222-224 is less buggy overall and loads consistently (and fast) with all games I've tried.
