usb loader Gx wont find my new HDD

hey guys and merry christmas, i just got a new HDD for christmas its a Seagate freeagent Goflex 320Gb model number is STAA320101 soo i unwraped it and went to my computer and pluged it in downloaded WBFS manger 3.0 and did a format using that program, i threw in a few games on it as well (golden eye and donkey kong country returns) i also got the latest USB loader gx for my wii and threw it on there so i pluged my HDD into the far left usb port and turned on the wii went to the usb loader and says cant find USB.... so i tried neogamma and still no go also tried a wii dumper program and still cant find it.

sooo right now i am stuck i tried formatting it using one of the USB loaders on the wii but at first it tells me your USB drive needs to be formatted to WBFS and says would u like to format the drive and when i push a it just gives me a error and shuts off my wii. i tried plugging it into the other USB port but no go, i can tell the wii is giving it power because the light on the HDD lights up

so if someone could help me plz do so =)

i am running a 3.2U wii (and yes it is softmod) i do not know which Cios version or what ever its called but all i know is i installed alot of stuff in order to play my monster hunter and new super mario bros
