ok, i think i worked out why it was freezing on the splash page. it seems taht if i have my bluetooth dongle for my rockband instruments plugged when i load CFG Usb loader it wont load. i have to unplug the dongle, run the loader, then plug the dongle back in. i have the HDD in usb 0 and the dongle in usb 1 does anyone know a way around this?

I'm having trouble getting settings such as selected themes, etc. to save on v70. They just revert to default on restart.

Silly question but I have to ask....are you selecting to save the settings?
The cfg configurator page may help too.

I actually forgot to do that at first, but I can confirm that after mashing the '2' button after every change, nothing saves. lol
Looking at that page, I don't see anything directly relating to me, although the Configurator may solve my problem, it also looks a bit confusing.
I'll give it a shot at some point, probably after I get most of my stuff backed up.

Hm. The settings still reset after using the Configurator. I've consulted the official thread on GBAtemp, so maybe they can help. ._.

I bought a Wii-compatible USB Drive (Toshiba Stor.E 500Gb) so I can play my backups via USB.
I used [COLOR=#009900 !important]EASEUS Partition Master to make two partitions on the drive, one is FAT32 (for wii use) and the other is NTFS.
If the HDD is connected to the Wii before I start CFG USB Loader (via channel or HBC) the system freezes at the splash screen of the CFG.
If the HDD is connected to the Wii AFTER I start CFG USB Loader everything goes fine. I can play all games that are stored on the HDD.

Why this is boring? Because every time I want to change games I have to get up, disconnect my HDD, start CFG Loader, wait till it starts searching for devices, connect my HDD, and then sit in the couch again.

Does anyone knows if it's possible to go directly to CFG Loader after quitting a game? (instead of going to system menu)

I would really appreciate any help.

    Thank You.

Look at that link, the part you are looking for is down a ways in the "other" section. There is a ton of info that you will find useful on there other than that too.

Thank you very much for the link. I red it all and done the necessary alterations but the problem still persists.

The only way for the CFG Loader not to freeze at start up is to connect the hdd to the wii AFTER loading the app, i.e., when CFG Loader is looking for devices.
If I start CFG Loader with the HDD plugged in the wii the app freezes at start up (splash screen).

I have tried many things, e.g., deleted the ntfs partition, edited the loader with configurator... and the problem is still there.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Must be something wrong with your hdd then. Maybe try with another drive or even a usb stick to test it out.....or try another loader and see if you get the same results.
