Configurable USB Loader stalls and sometimes freezes

I have this CFG on my 4.2U Wii and it installs games to a HDD in minutes. THis is awesome. My brother in laws wii has always been slow. It stalls, stops goes and stalls and stops again. It takes hours to do the same game that I can do in minutes. His daughter has upgraded to 4.3U. We have it running but he still has the same issues with the stall and stopping if not freezing while installing a game to the HDD. We both are using the WD 1 TB drives. I can use my wii to install on his drive without any issues. The problem is in the Wii. I am pretty sure his was hacked the same way as mine. Waht should I be looking for to start finding the issues. I am out of ideas.

I had the same problem for USB loader GX. after trying different revissions gave up with it and switched to a different loader. I kinda wished I had done that from the start of the problems and saved my self the time.

So maybe try another loader if you have tried a few different rev.'s of CFG

I had that problem a version that I installed last weekend via wifi. To fix it, all I did was bring my SD card to my computer and installed a previous version from this site - Downloads - cfg-loader - Project Hosting on Google Code, but it looks like a new version was released 12 hours ago, I think I may install that one and see what happens.

I have tried the newest version as well as the older versions when it w as first set up. Hi wii has always had a problem with the install but now it is getting worse, he says. I have tried the WiiFlow and a few of the other Loaders and have the same result. There must be a cIOS that is set up incorrectly. I have run the test rom Pimp my Wii and it says all is good. Not sure what esle to do.

I recently upgraded my usbloader gx and find that it freezes when l click on a game.Yet,when l use the homebrew channel and load usbloader,l dont have a prob. Before l updated usbloader the games froze then(after loading black ops and wad),I thought l just needed to update
Games loaded fine before l lodded and added the black ops game and wad. Then upgraded usbloader.Wonder if adding the wad messed things up?

Rockitman, Your subject is not the same as what I started.

This meesage is too everyone that reads this. Just becasue the HDD is compatible in the compatible list, it DOES NOT mean it will work flawlessly on your machine. I have two WIIS. On is a LU74 and theother is older. The older wii works flawlessly with the WD 1TB HDD. The newer one will load games but will not install directly from the wii. After about a year of on and off playing around with the LU74 WII, I set up another external drive, you guessed it, it works flawlessly. The moral of the story here is that just because it works for someone else, it does not mean it will work with your. different serial number make a difference.
