    can you give a more detailed instructions on how to do it?

    Ok My friend, Have a look on Wiihacks, My sig formatting hard drives. I'm no expert but I have got this bit sussed. I use Mauifrogs guide all of it you will have a fully operational Wii. I then Tweak my own settings install with wads latest CFG, GX usb loaders, and neogamma. On my formatted hard drive FAT32. I have an apps folder,usb_loader folder,WAD folder and a wbfs folder. Inside the apps folder is usb loader,wad manager 1.7 Preloader,ios 58 installer, MMM. All kind of apps of my choice, In my Wad folder there are obviously Wads.ie:USB Loader GX-UNEO_Forwarder_4_0_AHBPROT.wad USBLoaderCFG-UCXF-IOS58 v11.wad A whole load of other wads i use for offline installation. I use wad manager 1.7 to install using ios 249. Which are opened with HBC. you can read guides on wii hacks, there are many options. My set up works for me and I don't get any problems. Remember to read lots then make your own mind up. It is still better to read the guides and stick to them as you will get more support if you stick with the pro's. Once you are confident. you will be much happier. It's a kind of logical process. Mod the wii, add custom ios protect with nand backup & preloader. You should have it all. Then do your hard drive FAT32. Once your all done rip/install games to hard drive. Google wiihacks GX loader. or GX loader they can explain much better than me.

    Hi
    Can you specify what should I do with the files:
    * boot.dol
    * icon.png (icon that shows in HBC)
    * meta.xml (description that shows in HBC)
    * forwarder (.wad) (Needs IOS58)
    * channel (.wad) (Needs IOS58)
    * forwarder .dol (To launch GX when the wii boots)
    * channel .dol (To launch GX when the wii boots)
    If I want a channel of GX on my main menu...
    Also, I don't think I have the IOS 58 as you can see from my sys check. Does that mean that I won't be able to get a fowarder?

    Spoiler

    If you just downloaded the pack from this guide then the files should be in folders already. Merge the contents of each folder with your existing ones on the root of your device. The forwarder wad needs to be install with wad manager to give you the channel on your main menu. You could install the channel wad if you prefer, but it takes up more wii space. You do have ios 58 in there. Did you not see it? In fact, the syscheck even says it was run on ios 58

    Because IOS58 does not need to be patched.

    have been searching the forums for info on USB Loader GX 2.3, particularly the (full) NAND emulation feature

    i have sofmodded 4 Wiis for other people in the past, and recently bought my own and used the 'softmod any wii'/mauifrog guide. so far, so good.

    however i have used uLoader on other people's Wiis in the past, simply because it allows you to specify where the gamesave info gets stored (I set it to store it on the FAT32 part of my HDD, where HB and my loader is (instead of an SD card) and my games are loaded off of a WBFS partition).

    i have usb loader gx 2.3 configured exactly the way i want, and it looks so much better than uLoader, BUT is it possible to configure USB loader GX 2.3 to put gamesaves on the fat32? if so, how? i dont want to mess around with SD cards or clearing game saves off the wii memory...

    sorry if this is asked in the wrong place, i have searched everywhere for the info.

    a full guide for 2.3 (or at least detailing the new nand emualtion feature) would be awesome thanks

    black and white

    I just freshly hacked a new 4.1u using frogs guide that was on here i then used this guide to install GX. My problem is some games like sonic mario 2012 olimpics and countrydance 2 as well as about 6 others load and play just fine but they are in black and white. If i load them using cfg usbloader they are in color so its not the hdd. Any ideas? I have tried using different ios's.

    Mods, I'd like to answer this with your permission as I did this yesterday, yes I know what to do, put the disc in, at the disc menu hit start, when it takes you to the options/launch disc page, scroll down to the "Force Video" option, the default is "disc", change it to 480i or 480p depending on what AV cables you use to plug your Wii into your TV with, then scroll back up and launch the disc and voila Your game in color. It sounds like you have a European/UK disc and they want to be in PAL not NTSC which is the USA standard, I've bought a few online before I knew the difference, this will happen with Japanese discs too. I'm sure there are other causes and solutions but I know for a fact this is one. How'd I do Skell/Narse (-;/
