Did you deleted the old gx config file? If not delete it and let gx create a new one

Same problem here. GX was working after update through GX. Now suddenly black screen when starting a game. Starting the game with cfg usbloader is working.

When installing V2.0 clean (from this thread) only black screen when starting a game (tried a few). Removed the config directory from SD when installing.
Now images and setting are not in SD:config but in SD:\apps\usbloader_gx

    Very strange behaviour.

    Do you have ios58 installed?

What's strange? They moved the config as well to the loader apps folder to be more organized.

The strange thing is that it worked after the update for a while (2 weeks) and suddenly it stops working.

    I have ios58 installed:

    ysCheck v2.0.1 by Double_A
    ...runs on IOS58 (rev 6176).

    Region: PAL
    System Menu 4.2E (v482)
    Hollywood v0x21

    Boot2 v4

    Found 110 titles.

    Hey All,
I have been testing GX v2 (r1038), and encountered several black screens like the rest.
I could only get games to load if I changed the ios of the game I wanted to load, to a different ios other than the one usb loader gx was currently running under, and success no black screen. But not adequate when no such problems exist with cfg loader.

The link below describes the problem and has a working fix (r1046). It fixed all my black screens, and tested stable so far.

so i installed gx loader 2.0 and it seems to work fine from the hbc. i unistalled the older version i had on my wii before i installed 2.0. i installed the gx loader channel 2.0 as well through wad manager but when i select the channel it just goes to a black screen and then my wii resets. i tried the gx forwarder as well and it does the same thing. i believe my gl loader is in the correct format on my sd card. it is under sd card then apps then usbloader_gx then it has the boot.dol, icon, and meta in the next layer. not sure why it wont work. i installed the older channel the same way on the older gx loader and it worked fine.

Do you have ios58 installed? That is part of the guide and the usual cause for your problem
