Update: it appears development of USB Loader GX has picked back up again (despite some posting here that it's dead) here's whats listed under the source section for release r1008:

r1008 *Fixed crash when trying to set alternate dol from game disc in game settings

They are currently on r1012. Unfortunately the problem is still not resolved yet, instead of freezing up, USB Loader GX now stack/code dumps when trying to pick an alternate dol, but at least I'm not the only person with the problem. The exact code dump image that I've been getting has been posted in their issues threads by others, so obviously this is not an isolated incident. I suppose going from a complete freeze-up to a code/stack dump is at least some sort of progress. At least it's a known issue and it's being worked on, hopefully when a new version comes out soon then it'll get resolved.

And BTW I really don't like CFG Loader, USB Loader GX is so much easier to use, especially for the people I setup Wii's for.

Oh NO GX gives you a stack dump? That's unheard of. Did you at least try the game with a different loader? Seems like a lot of trouble to go through to wait for them to fix it when you could load it with another loader.

    I don't think that's your problem though.
    Damn I suck!!!!

It's clear that GlassVial just won't accept it is GX's fault. Other loaders work fine. Will you just close this thread?

That's funny, didn't I just post that this is a known issue? Obviously this is something that you people won't be able to help with until a new release comes out that solves this, but it is a KNOWN BUG, and other have the exact same problem, I'm not crazy. I didn't come here to get advice on trying a different loader, I came here to see if anyone else was having the same issues, and people ARE. You wanna lock this thread, go ahead I don't care I've gotten no help out of it anyhow, now that I know what the problem truly is, I know it will be resolved in the future, so if anyone else has this same issue, you know where to keep an eye out, on the USB Loader GX site for when a new version comes out in the future that solves this known issue.

The problem would have been solved by us long ago if you had just tried it with a different loader.

    Upon your request, thread closed.

Also, don't think anyone will be waiting around for GX to have a fix for this so don't hold your breath.
    Damn I suck!!!!
