You have tried Cfg.. tried reinstalling cIOS, tried a different HDD....and you are saying you get the same result regardless? This happens to all of your games not just one or two?

Did you try deleting GX off your card completley? Are you choosing alt.dol from disc?
    Damn I suck!!!!

I've tried CFG, again, I don't like it. This is happening to all games, if it doesn't "need" an alt-dol, it hangs, if it needs it, it hangs on the "select a dol" button. Yes, I've deleted the GX channel completely and re-installed it. Yes, choosing alt-dol from disc.

I didn't ask if you liked Cfg, I asked if you get the same result with it.

If you are ripping your retail games then I can't see a reason why this would happen. Unless you have corrupted game images or something. You said you tried a different HDD as well as ripping again..so I am not sure. When you say it "hangs" You have to power off the console correct?

I DID try dumping 1 game that requires an alt-dol to a WBFS-formatted flash drive, of course it worked fine
So the same images work fine from a WBFS drive? No hang? Did you format to FAT32 following the guide by myself and Cile?

    ROFL!

You also could try ripping the disc on Cfg USB loader and see if they work on GX.

CFG worked, after it complained that FAT loading was only possible with 222, so choose 222, alt dol, etc and then it works (example: having to load the alt-dol for wii sports resort, we all know that trick)

And yes I tried 2 different hard drives, plus my USB stick (it was much easier to test my WBFS findings on the USB stick)

Yes, it's a hard freeze requiring either power plug removal or 10-second power button hold to complete shutdown.

Yes, same images worked perfectly fine on WBFS, and yes I followed your guide, I used EASEUS partition master as Windows would not natively format the drive FAT32, primary/active partition.

Don't think that will help, but I'll give it a shot.

So are you saying this problem is completely non-existent when Using Configurable USB Loader...no hang on any games when choosing an alt.dol?

No hang with alt-dol but has other issues. And no, I'm not interested in dumping GX and only using CFG, I'm trying to solve this GX issue.

Well this is why I asked, It is now clear that your issue is with GX, where as before you didn't mention that it works with other loaders.

As I said GX and FAT32 does not mix in my experience. Try the r937 version of GX please.
    Damn I suck!!!!

    Ok, will do.

Also, update, ripped game from CFG (Wii Sports, keeping it very simple here) go to alt-dol in GX, select a dol, hang, so no fix there.

One more thing, forgot to mention, I am *not* using an SDHC card. I am using a 2GB SD card that has worked (and still does work) just fine, and worked when I was still using the WBFS format. I have also tried this w/o the SD card inserted with the same results.

And If you are using a full channel, forget that for now and load only from HBC.
