Loader freezes when game tries to launch (on any loader)

I'll start by saying I followed the 4.3 guide on wiihack & it's my first wii mod, but I've modded other consoles. The problem is that when I start Configurable USB Loader v60 & continue to load a game, it freezes at the point where it says "249". Or when I try to load using cIOS 222mload it freezes at the point "shadow mload". I feel like I've tried everything except virginize the wii, which I heard is risky. I've tried different versions of 249, 250, 222, 223, etc cIOS's. I've tried installing them with different base IOS's etc. Tried deleting the stubs of those IOS's but I think I was unsuccessful. & then reinstalled them.
WBFS is the only file system that the loader has even been able to read. NTFS recognizes the partition but won't load it (says "3001"). FAT32 shows the game but warns that an error occurred (-1) & something about sector 512. But WBFS working best (still freezes though). Tried different drives and USB sticks all set as Primary partitions.
I've also tried different USB loaders with no success. Please Help.

I updated my 249 to rev19 (again) & successfully loaded wii fit plus from my 2gb sandisk sd card(FAT). Gonna try to re-format my 320gb external to FAT32 & hope for the same results. Will post back later.

Nope. I tried FAT & FAT32 partitions on my external. Says

split 0: size (-1) not sector (512) aligned!
wbfs error: hd num sector doesn't match

I thought my external was in the compatibility list but it could only be that or my wii usb recognition. I've tried multiple USB drives. I'm glad I at least saw results with the SD card though.
I would really appreciate any suggestions.

YES I seem to be having the same issue, some feedback would be greatly appreciated.
