    getting homebrew working

hi i am a newbie to soft modding normaly hard mods but my kids updated to 4.2e and messed things up ie wont play out of region games, so i used the excellent tutorial here to down grade to 4.1e worked great, now i had a bricked wii that i bought and could not get working so i did the same process on it and it worked . it has homebrew channel and neogama r8,when i click on hbc nothing happens just bubbles am i supposed to get 4 or so bars come up with different options on ie loaders ,neogamma works fine i assume i am something missing what is the best step to take to get hbc working the neogamma isios249 (rev14) if that is any help.any help would be appreciated
