[wbfs panic: malloc tmd] on configurable usb loader

Recently I got a new USB hard drive (Western Digital 250gb my passport essential WDBAAA250)
to use with configurable usb loader (ver 56) and USB loader gx [rev 916 ios249 (Rev 17)]

A few games, when started via configurable usb loader, will fail with an error message:
"wbfs panic: malloc tmd". Running the same game in USB loader gx will also fail (nothing happens at all, no error message). Anybody seen this before?

My backups on the hard drive are a combination of ISO and CISO files which were transferred from PC using the applications WBFS Manager 3.0 and WBFS Intelligent.

    I'm on a 4.2U Wii.

    Same issue

Hi there, i had the same thing happen to me. It happened on a game that had been working fine for a while. I searched and yours was the only post and with no reply.
I have come to the conclusion that some rough handling of my external may have caused my problem so I reformatted it and reinstalled my games. No problems as of yet but it is early days.
If you haven't been knocking your HDD around I don't know what the cause is, try reinstalling the game.

i have tried reinstalling the game and that will usually make it work again. a bit of a pain, but it's a workaround until i know what the reason for the error is.

and yes, it was formatted as the primary partition already...

This started happening to a bunch of my games recently after upgrading to rev20b and trying to get Monster Hunter Tri working. I regret doing so. Everything was fine until I had to mess around and try to get stupid MH3 going! I think I might try reformatting the HDD and starting over.
