    Hi Krank,

Just tried loading configurable usb loader from SD card, using my old maxtor 40, and it loaded up, screen came up with my games, (no covers though) went to one of the games, and it said "install game" at the top and below it, it says "please insert a game disc" "press B to return", I just wanted to test the loader before installing hermes 222.
I don't want to install it, it's already on there....

I don't suppose you came across this problem yourself?, tried a google search, and only came across something called lang.pot.

thanks for all your replies they have been very helpful...

No Idea what happened there, Tried pressing the arrow buttons on the remote, and the pattern of the icons changed, and this time as i went over each game i could hear & see the details of each game, tested it on one game and it worked.
    Haven't installed the forwarder yet.
Now i'm just wondering about hermes, as I read here, Configurable USB Loader - GBAtemp.net "- only cIOS 222/223 v4 can be used. FAT/NTFS using cIOS 249 is not supported"
So I Decided to try & load hermes, and it's asking me "Selected IOS for instal 249" is this the correct one?, as i remember reading someone mentioning not to use 249, just wanted to make sure before going for it.

Im not familiar with FAT loading so no help on the IOS issue. Do a search in google ( wiihacks hermes ) and you should find your answer. The "install game" your refering to is used to copy a game in your WII DRIVE to your External hardrive. You would only use this option if you want to copy a game disk you have to your hard drive. To play the game you just point at the box cover and click A, another screen will come up and ask if you want to lay the game. Hope this helps.

Thanks Krank, worked a treat, did a b/u of wii sports original.

So i decided to pull out the 500 used "wii game manager" to format it to fat32, and started to transfer my iso's over as name.wbfs files. (3gb in about 2.5 mins).
Now it seems that on confurable's website it states that hermes is required for fat32, but i thought hermes was only required for drums, guitar ect... not to sure what todo now.
maybe another nand b/u before testing, that will be the 5th one.

Why do you have 5 NAND backups? lol Anyway like I said you must use hermes IOS for FAT loading with config USB loader. Read this entire page and it will answer all you questions.

    I know, I know, I just can't help myself,
First nand was as soon as hbc went on, at 3.1 - then when I went to 4.0 another, then again at 4.1
Then again when new ios's were installed. (Just blind panic I suppose).
Well the 222 is now installed, don't know whether its worth also putting on 223 as well?. (Time for another nand, don't you think) lol

Yes Twitchet, You can keep the other boot.dol, just rename it to something you can remember, like boot.dol.nonfat (or whatever you want). and rename cfg52-fat.dol to boot.dol.
