    need help

    my kid is forever breaking his games so i softmodded his wii last night today i try to download a backup for one of his games but after i burnt it to a disk (dvd+rw) i put it in his wii and tryed to launch it with neogamma but got a error 1020 so i burnt another and got the error code can anyone tell me what im doing wrong, the wii is running on 4.2e

    You have to use DVD-R not the RW or the +

    Try that and you should have sucess... also use IMGburn at 2x to burn the game... (google for it as it is freeware)

    thanks ill try that ,i was using img burn but il try with dvd-r

    Emu you also missed the fact this might be D3-2 drive. Try dvd-r and if it does not work you have new drive and your only choice is usb loading.

    Try verbatim DVD-R brand. If that doesn't work and your wii is newer, you might have a new chip set that will not let you load back up discs. You would still be able to load games from usb though

    edit: Geez, quick draw. I was typing here, lol.

    depending on how new your wii is it could also be that it just wont play back up games you might need to invest in a extenal hdd

    .......................thanks im gonna try dvd-r first how can i tell which drive is in the wi its about 3 o4 year old if that helps ... when i soft modded the wii it load a usb loading thing to the homebrew channel.......... do u know how i get the homebrew brouser on the home brew channel

    If its 3-4 year old then its not new use dvd-r
