I am sure this has been posted before but i am not sure wot exactly i am looking for i was wondering is there a way when u want to exit the game you are playing to go back to usb loader gx instead of wii menu/or hbc. Thank you
I originally asked on the google code site if this could be added to a normal build and was just replied it would not happen or summit.
Stole from another thread...
It is possible to boot your wii directly into the USB loader GX. The only thing you need for this is a wii app called preloader.
First download the newest rev of the loader or even better, the forwarder (dol format, see downloads at the top of the readmii). Place the dol you get in the root of your SD card (no need to rename it to boot.dol).
In the preloader menu, choose install file and choose the dol to install. When its done, go to the main menu of preloader (B) and then choose 'settings'. You have to change 2 options here: Autoboot=file and Return to=preloader. Save the settings, then launch the Wii menu in the main menu. It will boot into the USB loader GX!

is that the only way cuz it seems kinda risky
I dont think that is exactly what he was looking for. He doesnt want to boot directly into GX. He wants to be able to quit a game, but stay in GX's menu. As far as that goes, I honestly dont think you can do that. Yea Ill agree that its a pain to have to re load GX everytime you want to play a different game.
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.
Don't worry, it's a well know way to do it.

Please remember your manners - say Thank You if someone helped , it doesn't hurt
It's also helpful to stop people from going into the sys menu to mess with things.... And anytime you want to go into the sys menu, you would just hold the reset button when you turn on your wii to pull up that super special secret menu. While your wii is still up and running, I would suggest you get bootmii or priiloader installed anyway, if you dont already have it installed.... they can be very useful to recover from bricking, which seems to be happening a lot recently for some reason
For now, this is the best option, I have one of my wiis set exactly like this, and it has worked fine thus far. And again, this gives guests and siblings only two options when they turn on the wii, and that's to play a game or turn it back off.
