Usb Loader Gx Cover Image Problem.

    Hi.

I have a 4.2E Wii all hacked and softmodded, all my games work properly etc.

It is just when i boot up usb loader.
I can't seem to save the images to my SD card, everytime they are downloaded and saved, the system crashes.

So i got fed up with that and tried to save it to the HDD, after creating directories on the HDD, the images save and all display, but when i boot them up again, the images are blank.

    Any help please?

Sounds like one of the covers you are downloading is causing the crash, you should be able to see which by examining the saved covers for spurios image sizes or file sizes.

Not sure about your HDD issue.

Ah okay, but the images save to the HDD without a crash, it is just they are not there when i go back to them...

But when i save to the SD i get this message

Even though it says reboot, it doesn't.

Not rebooting after a code dump is typical.

Could be an issue with your SD not declaring a bad block or something. Have you tried a spare SD card?

Try navigating your HDD yourself on your PC after they have downloaded and see if they are there. Maybe it's getting flushed by the loader for some reason.

Guessing here by the way, did you notice?

No bad blocks on my Sd card either...
Should I format the card and place the original files back on it?

    By all means.

USB Loader GX can bug out at awkward times. Mine used to crash whenever I changed the settings from SD to USB, an updated version fixed this.

Maybe trying a different loader would be of some use, either a different one altogether or a different/newer/older version.

I had the same problem with my USB Loader GX.... it was a bad Image file.I deleted all the images and redownloaded them and it fixed it up right away.

Before I deleted all the images i tried just deleting the last few Images i downloaded but that did'nt work the only way i got it up and running again without crashing was delete all images and redownload them

Now it works great with no crashes...

Well I am not sure if it is a bad image file as it loads fine when I do it from USB.
It is just after download the images, it goes to that screen above...
What other USB loader would you recommend?

Thanks for all the helpful posts
