GC Backup Launcher w/o SD card

OK, I've hacked the Wii and I'm not able to run both Wii and GameCube backups, but I want to be able to put the SD card back in the camera I took it from.

I've been all over Google and I've searched this forum. All I've found are dol forwarders that do nothing except skip going through the homebrew channel. I've found about 5 channels that weren't really clear on what they did, but I don't want to download and install every one of them when odds are none are what I want.

So the question is: Is there any way I can install the GameCube backup launcher as a channel to run without having the SD card in there?

Neogamma channel, available for download in the Homebrew Download section of the forum.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

I have that installed, but I thought that ran Wii backups, not Gamecube? The tutorial I followed directed me to another one that told me how to hack the Wii then install NeoGamma to run Wii backups, then it told me to put the GameCube backup launcher 0.2 on an SD card and run it from the Homebrew Channel to run GameCube backups.

EDIT: OK, I just googled for more info about Neogamma, and I see that it also runs GC backups, but can have problems with them. Thanks. I'll see if I have the newest version of Neogamma now, and see if it can run the games I want it to.

If it's possible to install the backup launcher 0.2 as a channel, I'm interested in that as too, because from what I can find it has better compatibility.

Most apps have a stand alone channel abailable. It's just a matter of finding the home page of the author of the app. I have never used either app so can't help you with that aspect. My modchip took care of everything when I sued discs.

I found his blog, the closest thing to a homepage he has, it seems, and he never bothered to make a channel for it as far as I can find. However, I did find it's possible to convert dol files to wad, though the link given is broken. I'll see if I can find something like that later when I have time.

Thanks for your help, I think I can take the rest myself.

Ah, I found that one but you hadn't said whether it was just a dol forwarder or not. Thanks.

It's always nice when people do things for you so you don't have to.
