    hi m8

i have a 3.4E wii and i have as above lol neogamma r7 with cios38 rev 14 and i can play call of duty modern warfare and new super mario bros wii i play these with no problems at all

but on his hard modded wii (i dont know which chip he has) and he can not play them at all nothing at all loads up

what would you personally suggest to get these and some other games running on his wii?

ps. he says his chip is fully up-to-date

Well find out which Wii he has, and then read the Tuts section:

    ►RECOMMENDED FAQ's, GUIDES & TUTORIALS ONLY ◄

I have a WiiKey V2 with Soft Mod on a 4.1, running a shit load of HomeBrew Apps & Games (especially the Triiforce app - as in the Tuts), just take your time, read the whole thread, get a grip on what is being said and where the probs lie and how it was solved then go for it.

Go for it then. Nothing bad will happen. Hard and Soft mods are very different.
