    Question NeoGamma R8Beta12 Install

    Ok, I officialy feel stupid. So many guides here and for the life of mine I can't figure out how to install NeoGamma R8Beta12!!!

    I have hardmoded Wii with DriveKey.

    Since I want to play New Super Mario Bro I would like to install NeoGamma R8Beta12.

    I have already installed the HBC. (B.T.W. My HBC Channel is 1.0.1 and when you go to the channelit asks me if I want to update it to Version 1.0.6?)

    My Wii menu is Version 4.1u.

    So what do I do now? How do I install NeoGamma R8Beta12 using my SD card?

    You're going to need WadManager on your SD Card in the apps folder.. I ignore the update prompts from HBC..

    Throw the Neogamma .wad onto your SD card, run HBC..

    Boot WadManager.. Select SD card, rather than USB..

    select the wad and hit the + button, it'll ask you to confirm the install.. confirm it..

    Sit back and relax. Hit A at the end to restart the Wii and you should be golden. Hope I helped. Good luck.

    Just follow the 3.1-4.1 guide below. Read it carefully and follow all the steps in the proper order, you can't go wrong.

    Hi;

    When I downloaded NeoGamma R8Beta12 and extracted the files, there are no .wad files!!

    Inside the zip there are Two folers: NeoGamma and sourcecode. Neither of the folders have the .wad file. NeoGamma folder has three files: boot.dol, icon.ong, and meta.xml. The other folder has many files, too many to list!

    How is that?

    I have already read that Guide but my problem is I have already installed the HBC.

    I installed HBC long ago and all I remmember is that I used Legend of Zelda to do it. So now I am not certain from what step in the Guide I should start following the steps!!

    Didn't I say I feel so stupid!!

    The neogamma is a dol file and needs to be launched from the hbc, or it needs to be made into a wad, or a forwarder needs to be used to install it as a channel. You can start from the very begining of the guide as your hackmii files are probably outdated.

    Hi;

    I followed the Softmod Guide.

    While attempting different ways to get New Super Mario Bros to work I managed to brick my Wii. So I used bootmii and restored the NAND and thank G-d it worked and my Wii is operational once again.

    Do I now have to redo all the steps of the Guide from the point that I made the backup copy of the NAND?

    (As a reminder, my Wii is hardmoded with DriveKey.)

    Yes you will need to redo everything following the nand backup in the guide. When your done there is a nice guide for NSMB to get it started for you.
