Hi, there has been a few problems with usbloader gx over the last week with black screens with newly installed games with the latest revisions.
I thought i would test out the latest revision which is currently r807 and install a game.

I can confirm that the new update worked fine. I installed the new wwe smackdown vs raw 2010 PAL and all i needed to do was the 002 fix, i had no black screen as with some previous revisions. played already installed games too with no problem.

download the latest revisions from [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register], then delete the boot.dol in the usbloadergx folder of your sd card and replace with the new .dol you download, make sure you rename the new revision to boot.dol.

I can confirm his findings!
USB Loader Gx r787+ somehow scrambled the ripping of the games from DVD to HDD, so loading the games always resulted in black screen (except the games that was already ripped by lower revisions of USB Loader Gx).
Thus we had to revert back to r785 (and rip the games again).

Now, Wiileet had the courage to test r807. Encouraged by his report I also tested r807 (remove games and rip the games again) with 5 games (including one that need an error 002 fix). All of them succesfull!

Many people like to load the program via HBC, but I prefer a channel.

There's a reason for loading from HBC, GX updates every day, by the time you find or make a channel for the latest version, the next version is out all ready.

I use a forwarder for my USB Loader.

I softmodded my 4.2E Wii today, put the latest GX (rev811) on my SD.
But each and every game just gives me a black screen!

Any idea what I could do?

Just tested with a lower rev772 with default settings, got error 002.
Changed settings to ios222, error 002 to anti => black screen again...

Then I tested with Waninkoko's usb loader => black screen too...

It's my usb-disk...
Tried with a usb-stick (which can only hold 1 game...) and it works perfectly!

This is pretty crappy, because I was on menu 3.4 first and that disk worked just great.
Had to go to 4.2 to test for my brother-in-law (who had the same problem, black screens), and now I'm screwed.
Apparently something changed to an IOS (249?) that makes it less compatible with usb-devices

I originally had 21 games installed with 10 not working, black screen no matter what loader I used. I re-formatted the drive and tried downloading the games again thinking that would help to no avail. I think I have figured out the issue now, it is because the game discs were too scratched up, even though the game would completely download without error to my usb drive the data had to be getting corrupted somehow during the process.

The most recent game I re-downloaded was Lego Batman and now it loads without error!
So now this means all the games that were not working I need to re-acquire. Oh well, once I do I will have perfect copies again.

Question, anyone having problems downloading covers with this or any other ver of GX? I get a stack dump error when I try...
