Yes that is what uninstall means, to remove from the HDD. To install, press the + and re-rip the game. As I believe it was suggested your game ISO may have had errors, you should re-download the ISO not just install from the same, presumeably, bad ISO.

Yes. Re-rip. The term install is a little bit misused in the USB Loader GX sense. When you uninstalled WiiPlay it was removed from your hdd. This is necessary when trying to fix your black screen issues, because if a game was ripped (installed) by a malfunctioning revision of USB Loader, even with a functioning revision, the game (for the most part) will not run. So when testing a different revision you need to uninstall (remove from hdd) and reinstall (rip again) the game to your hdd. This is the integral step I missed when I first used r785 and I thought r785 had the same issues as other revisions.

However, because you have successfully played games with USB Loader, I believe a new revision will not solve your problem. Your problems are game specific and need a game specific solution.

I don't anything about these games in USB Loader... But, have you tried changing the default IOS they load with?

You can change this in the game load settings for each game. Your current default is probably 249, try 222 and see if it works.

ok so Im still having trouble with this, I upgraded to 4.2u then I followed all the steps to get cios 14 installed. I installed hermes cios 22 as well (all the merging and what not as recommended by a guide from this site) I am using three different usb drives that are all on the list as working. The only difference in my wii is that I do not have a dvd drive plugged in because it is broken(wont take discs in or out or read them) so I am using WBFS manager to transfer iso's to my usb drives and when I load a game ie tiger woods I get a screen that says tiger woods '10 please eject the disc, power off and retry. I have downgraded to r785 and Im wondering what Im doing wrong here
    I followed this guide
and it doesnt seem to be working after doping some ios's I cant even get wiiware to work :/ any ideas I'm startin to run out

Thanks for the links Wiileet. I didn't remove the V1.0 files. I just created a new folder in apps "loaderv785", put in it the r785.dol and renamed it to boot.dol. I also put the wad file you linked into the wad file. I then launched it through homebrew and uninstalled the game I was having trouble with which was Wifit plus via game settings then game uninstall. I then re ripped the game. I used Loader v1 through channel to launch as normal and it worked fine, no more black screen. Thanks very much for all the comments in this forum for helping me out, and for you Wiileet for the links and the info.

    Hi,
I am newbie here and I am having the same problem
with black screens.I am using the latest revision on
    a 4.2 softmodded system.I have inserted a couple of
isos with WBFS manager 3.0.When the iso loads I get
a black screen on each game.
What I want to ask is if the problem has to do
with the WBFS manager since I didn't use the latest's
revision rip method. If I change the revision and still try
to transfer isos with the same method, will it work?

    Yes!!!!

well i finally got it working ... did everything in dogeggs guide for 4.0 and it was not working, I used the last revision of usb loader gx r815 ... then i found this thread and dowloaded r785 and it worked!!!! im now playing my first downloaded game "super mario galaxy".

    Sweeeet!!!!

    ----- Update -----

Everything was fine, but i decided i wanted to have two partitions on my hdd (Ntfs and Wbfs), so i searched if it was possible and it is so i did it ... when i hooked up my hdd to the wii, usb loader gx (r785) saw all the games as usual but didnt load them any more (the blank screen again!), i then i tried the last r815 and now it is working!! go figure

The only thing that i want now is to be able to load the covers form the hdd it self and not from the sd card, does any one know how? i cant find how to do it ...

    C ya!

    Hi

rev 785 still doesn't work for me... I still get the black screen.

my wii dvd drive is broken so I've been transferring my games with WBFS Manager 3.0

I've tried time & time again uninstall the game on USB loader r785 and then reload the ISO on my HDD using WBFS Manager 3.0 and I still get the black screen.

I was originally using r815 when the problem started.

I dunno what to do now except try every single game I have and hope one of them breaks through. "sigh"

Or I could try formatting my HDD as NTFS then formatting it back to WBFS and see if that works.

My Wii is 4.0E i believe. and I'm using a compatible HDD so I dunno what the problem is.

Im not sure if your question has already been answered... I could not be bothered reading to check. I had a similar problem when I first got USB Loader GX going, using a different revision of USBL worked. r785 worked for me, try a few. especially older versions.

Maybe try the latest revision of USB Loader GX rev.849 HERE. I hope that helps you.
