All the usb loaders go back to the Wii menu, unless you have preloader/priiloader set to boot a specific channel. Somebody may be able to help you with a forwarder that is compatible with preloader.

WiiFlow has gone open source. It looks like there has been two new versions: r27 and r28. Has anyone tried these yet to see how they work? It looks like a new cheat menu was added and a few other things like keeping all wiiflow files in apps/wiiflow instead of on the root of your device (I assume just to keep your device directory cleaner). It also looks like they are testing a new fix for sleeping hard drives.

r28 works great. You can choose wether you wants your images/configs in root:/wiiflow or apps/wiiflow. It looks in both. My Freeagent wakes up now, too.

backing up my games through wiiflow..

    Hi all,

I was under the impression that once wiiflow was installed and hdd attached I could backup my games through the wiiflow application directly to the hdd. I tried this and it started a progress bar and completed. The game then showed up in the games on wiiflow. However, I noticed that when I went to play the game it would go black and give me an error saying to eject the disc and restart the wii. It did this at about the same spot every time I tried. I then looked at the file while attached to my pc. It was really small, like .5 gigs. Not sure what to make of this. Does anyone know more about this? Is it possible to make a working backup directly to hdd from wiiflow. Thanks for the input!

WOW... I'm officially impressed.. How did you guess? I assume you have had a similar experience. Is that a game that just can't be backed up? Or is there something I am missing? Is this game the exception to the rule or are there others that have the same problem? Thanks for the reply

Depending on the version of WiiFlow you are using (r21, r22, r23, etc) you may have issues running NSMB as it was one of the latest games to have the new type of security on it. There's a massive thread on this forum about the issues with running NSMB.

I believe the WiiFlow fix to be able to run it was from r25, but you can run a patched version of NSMB using a lower version than that. Go to the wiiflow project site to get a later revision of wiiflow:

Downloads - wiiflow - Project Hosting on Google Code

    I would recommend either r25 or r28

to install the new version of wiiflow, the download should be a .dol file. Just rename it to bot.dol and then replace the boot.dol in the apps/WiiFlow folder. Then you should be good to go.

    No I haven't tried r28, I'm still on r25, but I also play a patched NSMB

I know I could probably find this somewhere else on this forum but what is the meaning of "patched" nsmb. How do you accomplish this. I will also try the r28 and report back to whether or not this works. Thanks again for the help
