Smile USB Loader GX reset problem

I am a noob, just got my Wii hacked so I could do back ups.
I used Truch Bug Restorer to downgrade and things are fine. I installed USB Loader GX and downloaded Wii Sports Resort used WBFS manager to put it on a jump drive.
I go to the Home brew channel select USB Loader GX select the game then the Wii resets. Any Ideas on how to fix this?

The iso is a USA version which is what I need.
USB Loader GX version 1.0 but I did click to have it updated so it should be the latest version.

After you used TBR, did you install a cIOS such as cIOS38rev14 installer?

    cIOS38_rev14-Installer.rar

Just ran cIOS38rev14 installer and I still get the same result. Do I need to have a disc in even though I don't want to run that disc? I only want to run what I have on the USB Jump Drive.

The settings for the game are as follows:
    Video Mode System Default
    VIDTV Patch OFF
    Game Language Console Default
    Ocarina OFF
    IOS 249
    Parental Control 0 (Everyone)
    Error 002 fix ON
    Patch Country Strings OFF
    Alternate DOL Default

First, don't make your initial trial of the USB Jump drive a hard game like WSR. Try an older simpler game. Lot of posts from folks trying to get WSR working-not a good try out of your softmod.

Also, as you did not install cIOS38rev14 before, I am thinking you may not have installed the IOSes needed by a lot of games: IOS38, 53, 55. Some newer games need even a few others, but did you at least install those? Why don't you check your softmod procedures against this tutorial-if you need any steps/files the download pack provides them all: http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html

I tried installing the wads using WAD manager v1.3 and got the following errors on each. Any ideas on what to try next?

    IOS50-64-v4889 ERROR! (ret = - 1017)
    IOS53-64-v5149 ERROR! (ret = - 1017)
    IOS55-64-v5149 ERROR! (ret = - 1017)

OK-saw you got then installed. Do you have anything on the SD card that might be providing a conflicting command?Backup and delete if boot.dol or Private folder if present.
