Can't get cIOS install on a 4.1E console

Hi all, i'm trying to get USB GX loader working on my new console....I managed to get everything working perfectly on my sister's Wii, which had 3.1 firmware when I started (that i updated to 4.1 after getting the usb loader working).

I now have my own Wii, it was delivered with 3.4E firmware. When installing homebrew & dvdx, this time it said "Can only be installed as IOS" for BootMii. When i did that step, I get a 2011 error.

USB loader hangs when i try run it. Another USB loader says I don't have cIOS 249 installed.

I've since upgraded to firmware 4.1. Can anyone provide advice on how I can get cIOS installed so I can run games from my USB drive?

Thanks, that looked really promising, but it kept failing at step 7c, the "Downgrade IOS35" step. It errored the first time, and subsequent runs kept saying i'd already run that step.
