Still having the same problems... Any other ideas???
Finally got my games working by ditching the USB loader and burning the ISO to disc, now working fine using NeoGamma R7 direct from a disc...
Guess the USB loader just dont work for all games.
Sounds like your memory stick is too full delete a game. Also you need a minimum of Rev9 IOS 249... And you probably know this but you need to put usb on the outside port.
Every game i have works. I think your usb device may be non compatable...

The stick is not full, And I have Rev14 IOS 249.
MOst games were working ok on the USB, Ashes Cricket for example... But Wacky World Sport and Monkey Mischief were not working..
It is only a cheap 16GB Memory Stick, nothing special...
wacky world has a problem, so does not work
I have craigfoot's situation more or less; NTSC Wii with 4.1U and IOS249 Rev 14 with USB Loader GX Rev773. GX is on homebrew channel though, not as a menu channel.
I formatted an 8 GB Patriot Memory USB Flash Drive as well as a 200 GB external HD and used WBFS Manager 3.0 to put a few games on both. So I try the flash drive and put it in the bottom USB port on the Wii and try to load up Super Paper Mario (NTSC) on GX but I got a black screen, same thing happened with the HD. Also when I tried WiiFit (NTSC) and Wii Sports Resort, I got the nintendo chirp sound but still a black screen. Fiddled with the settings like 002 error fix and such but nothing works.
Tried other USB loaders, and Neogamma, also got black screens. But I can run backups of the same games from discs using Neogamma R7 though.
Am I that unlucky to have these incompatible USB devices or games?
Might be worth trying 222, instead of 249, normally this is for the extra USB port, (RB instruments etc).
