I have set my Wii up so my kid can power it on and it goes straight to the USB Loader GX screen, they then can select any game from the great gui.
When they have finished with that game, they exit back to the loader.
When you want to hack again reset preloader to system menu.
Requirements, preloader 0.29, USB Loader GX forwarder.
First download the newest rev of the loader or even better, the forwarder . Place the dol you get in the root of your SD card (no need to rename it to boot.dol).
In the preloader menu, choose install file and choose the dol to install. When its done, go to the main menu of preloader (B) and then choose 'settings'. You have to change 2 options here: Autoboot=file and Return to=preloader. Save the settings, then launch the Wii menu in the main menu.
It will boot into the USB loader GX!
Thanks to USB loader GX site for this info.
Rename bootmii folder if you have it to stop it going into bootmii screen.

Thanks for the feedback Kyz. When I press the home button I exit the game but go back to the GX loader. I'm using the forwarder on version 718, and 14. Be interested to know if its a version/mode issue. See on the IRC.
BTW thanks for your help there.

I have 2 options set in preloader: Autoboot=file and Return to=preloader.
Check that these are set maybe the settings were'nt saved.
When I press home it gives HBC or Wiimenu
Wiimenu takes you back to the loader
When I press the Wii button on the right at GX loader it gives the same choices.
Exiting the HBC takes you back the loader also.
On Earlier versions of GX loader the HBC is not there, so its much neater.

This works great. I have a question though. How do you return to the actual "Wii" menu when you push home. I always go back to usb loader. Some times I would like to get back to the Wii Menu to play wii ware, etc.

When you are in the Loader instead of pressing home, select the right hand gear wheel, it should give you the coice of exiting to HBC or Wii menu.

I got it to give the home menu items in a list but I can't see it with all the channels like usual. Is there any way to see the channels in the Wii Menu?
The USB loader forwarder works great when I start up the Wii or exit a game. I select Wii menu and I am back at the USB loader screen.
The problem is that I cannot get to the Wii system menu or preloader. I can get into HBC from the little blue icon in the lower middle of the USB loader screen.
When I hit either the home button or the Wii button in USB loader and select back to loader, I get a hard freeze. If I select back to Wii menu starts, I am back to USB loader GX.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I guess I should ask what version of preloader and HBC and GX you are on.
I am running all the latest. Preloader set to autoboot on file, I guess you have this as you say it works, and return to preloader or wiimenu.
You can only goto preloader by holding down reset when powering on.
Try this
