0.29 only links to early HBC.
0.29JODI and versions of 0.30 link to new HBC.
When using new HBC you must reinstall DVDx and Bootmii.
Latest GX links to all versions of HBC.

If you set preloader to auto boot = wiimenu and return = wii menu, you should not see the preloader screen, but always boot into the Wii menu.

Do this first to make sure it all works,

    Then

To stay locked in the GX set autoboot = file, and return to autoboot.
So I have to install the new HomeBrew Channel 1.06? I currently have PriiLoader. And this would fix my Loader issue. Sorry a bit confused as why Homebrew Channel would cause a boot dump error of sort.

Thx I got the AUTOBOOT 100%

    Glad you got it working.
I didn't mean you needed it to fix that problem, I tried to point out that there are compatability issues with different versions,
latest Priiloader and latest HBC is the way to go.

    Hey John.

It didn't work. I understood about the autoboot doing a recycle to make it keep in USB LOADER for my kid.

I upgraded to HBC 1.06 and have PriiLoader 0.2 and it still gives me the memory dump. Any advice?

I don't know what system menu you are on, try this guide I put together.
Pick out the bits that suit.

Add Priiloader to 4.1U or 4.1E

The information for most of this guide is taken from several of Dogeggs excellent guides.

When you have updated to 4.1 and have checked at Wii icon bottom left of screen, Wii settings that you actually are, you can install the latest Priiloader.
You should also have HBC 1.0.6 latest version

If you have preloader remove it by installing your system menu.

    Download 4.1E here, System Menu

    Download 4.1U here, System Menu

    Copy wad into SD\wad
    Install with Wad manager

install IOS60-patched.wad - make sure you do this before you install Priiloader
    Download here, IOS60 Patched

    Copy wad into SD\wad
    Install with Wad manager

    Download here, Priiloader rev32

    Copy directory to SD\apps

    Get hacks.in file here,
    Hacks.in all

Edit text file, use lines with 449 for 4.1U, 450 for 4.1E.

Copy hacks.ini file to root of SD card

Go into HBC and select Priiloader, then load.
    Press + to install.

When finished select 'system menu hacks' in the Priiloader menu
    To start with just enable
'skip disc update check' and the region free ones .
    Autoboot = system menu
    Return = system menu

To check Priiloader is working, power off, then on. You should go to system menu page.
Power off, then on, holding the reset button until Priiloader screen comes up.
Check you can exit to HBC.

    Options, you set other enables.
You can set a file in the install file, i.e. USB loader GX, the .dol file should be in root of SD/USB
    Set Autoboot =file
On power up GX screen will be displayed

I've currently have this setup softmod for 4.1U with HBC 1.06 and Priiloader .02 rev 32.I downloaded the Hack.ini and put it in the root of my SD which I already had and booted...this time when I try the loader with file I get green red dots and frozen screens.

Does the loader work when ran normally.
Does priiloader work when not using installed file.
i.e. goes to HBC and system menu

Yes all works fine until I do the install file. autoboot to system menu or priiloader.

I'll install previous preloader and see if this is the cause.

BTW: just a thought...could it be because I have my WAD installed on my HD partition that is causing this? It runs off the channel 100%.

First, I'm fairly technically savvy with respect to computers, however today is my first day using a Wii (ver 4.1u).

So far, I've used the HackMii installer (v0.6) and Bannerbomb exploit (aad1f_v108) to install the Homebrew channel. I purchased the USB hard drive that showed to be the most reliable (Western Digital My Book Essential 1 TB USB 2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive WDH1U10000N), based on the recommendations of this site.

I already purchased and backed up several games to isos because I am configuring this for my two kids to receive from Santa on Christmas morning and they love to scratch up DVDs.

I would really like to configure my kids Wii like you've done with yours and i have a few questions. Thanks in advance for the help!

First, I need to make sure I don't brick my kids Wii, because that would sorta ruin their Christmas. I heard that if you load a PAL game iso onto a NTSC system (and vice versa) it can be bricked... Is that true when using a USB loader app like USB Loader GX or just when loading a burned DVD from the disc drive? Is it advisable to use WiiBrickBlocker and/or RegionFrii to ensure I don't brick?

I assume USB Loader GX is the best option at this time, right? Will it work properly with ver 4.1u.

Can I use it with WiiFlow or is that the same thing as USB Loader GX?

I'm pretty unfamiliar with the prii loader app and how to get it to work... Which one should I use and is there a tutorial out there for it?

Again, thank you very much for your assistance. I really appreciate it!
