Not unless you start using the original disc instead.

im a little confused on step 6 of the hard way:

    1) where do you find this "002 fix" thing? is it on multiboot? cuz when i enabled it and tried loading the game it just said "error"
2)when you say turn on alt. dol, what do you mean? on neogamma r7, under alt. dol, the options are "disc", "sd, "usb", and "no". do you mean "disc"

    thanks

i got all 3 games to work on wiiflow 2.2 R254 222, just go in game setting and change DOL to rs5mp1_p.dol for MPT 1 ,rs5mp2_p.dol for MPT2 or rs5mp3_p.dol for MPT3 all work fine for me

Hi I got the games working using the rs5mp1, etc. dols but I was wondering if a new cIOS rev will ever fix MPT - I understand it has something to do with a dual layer bug.

Does anyone know if waninko (or anyone else) plans to fix this in the future?

It isn't a bug, and it can't be "fixed". It's hard to explain. The best/easiest way to explain it is to think of MP1,MP2,MP3, and the home menu as 4 different discs. When you are at the home menu and you select one of the three games, it tries load one of "discs" and reload IOS55. Since USB/Disc Loaders use cIOS's instead of IOS55, it crashes. Because of that, you have to launch one of the games directly from your loader.

I know that is a terrible explanation, and I'm sure several people on here could do it better, but that's the best I can do.

    It makes sense. :P

I'm not giving up hope though. Who knows, maybe a miracle coder will come out of nowhere next year and let people play the trilogy without all this hassle.

    original won't work

I can't get my original copy of metroid prime trilogy to load. The disc channel says "unable to read disc, check your wii handbook" Neogamma and USBloaderGX won't recognize it. It works on a friends wii so I know its not the disk and I have tried other originals and they work fine, I can get burned discs to load fine through neogamma, and backups from my HDD work, so I am lost on what to try next.

Update: Now my disc channel is telling me i have to do a system update before i can use it. Never had an issue til now, always played games fine.

I am using wiiflow 2.2 rc1 IOS222 (and have tried a variety of other wiiflow versions all ios222) and can't get metroid prime working. I've searched a variety of articles and done various things including
    - turning 002 fix on/off/default
    -changing ios to 223/249/250/202
-changing this alt dol to p1 for prime 1 , p2 for prime2 etc.

I've seen reports that people can at least get p1 and p2 working, i can't even get them working. The symptom is always the same....it black screens with a code dump and then reloads to HBC or menu depending on where i launch it from. I THINK i have the right hermes 4 installed. I don't think its the loader as i've tried a bunch of other wii flow loaders and in general see the same thing on posts regarding other loaders.

I am posting a syscheck gx hoping someone that someone will spot a problem. Feel free to comment on anything not just issues for metroid prime. I can play other games fine. I am using a Fat32 partition. I don't think it is the 4gig limit but am not sure on that one so that is one theory. Another theory is that it won't work from USB as the 222 loader doesn't have the right firepower as most of the posts that seem to get it partially working or fully working are discussing a burned disc, not from the usb drive. Finally, another theory is that my ios 55 is not up to snuff. That's based on what i read above.

    Please help, syscheck below

Before you get mad, hear me out.

After much frustration I finally said "F IT" and did the following:

Burned MP1 and MP2 for GC.

    Work flawlessly.

The Wii Metroids all work fine by themselves.

Unfortunately, this method negates the motion control which may be the reason you want the trilogy in the first place.
