in the settings i turned Error 002 Fix to YES
and load alt. dol to default.
When i load MPT, it asks me which dol i want (1, 2, 3 or default)
loaded default, created save, exited, then proceeded to reload using the dol for 1/2 when prompted
    works PRIME (pun fully intended)
I got 3 to work on USBLoaderGX, setting IOS to 222, Error 002 fix to YES or whatever the default setting was for the Error 002 fix. This is the only Loader I got the iso to work on, and it was a scrubbed Trilogy disc with 3 on the disc. I had to set video mode to disc default to get better game play too.

Yea, USB LoaderGX asks which .dol u wanna use. USB Loader GX is about to become my default loader now...lol

Did it load at all? I know when I first loaded 3 the graphics was choppy, so I went back and set video mode to disc default. I just got the Wii Christmas time last year, I cant run dvr back ups on it, I did Dogeggs 3.1 - 4.1 softmod before the system update. I tried IOS 249 and it had a disc error or something. I didnt try 250. I'm loading the iso from a USB harddrive.

I think I'm using USB Loader GX v 1.0 I could look and try to give a complete list of specs to see if it helps anyone.

I'm trying to play Metroid Prime 3 using the alternate dol method on Metroid Prime Trilogy. I'm using coverfloader to play the full iso version of Metroid Prime Trilogy. MP1 and MP2 both work flawlessly, but in the first part of MP3 I notice that the screen jumps all the way to the left, and all the way to the right randomly if I hold the crosshairs still. Also if I press '1' or '2' (whichever one goes to the menu) after the menu comes up I get a painfully loud static noise that lasts a second or two and repeats after a bit on the menu screen.

Has anyone experienced these problems? possible solutions? Thanks much in advance.

    IOS249 rev10
    Backup.
    System Menu 3.2U, USA NTSC
Softmod, using coverfloader(latest) via homebrew channel.

In regards to the issue I'm having, only other thing I could find on the net that sounded similar is in this link --> Lots of weird graphical glitches in Metroid Prime Trilogy? - GBAtemp.net

Has upping the IOS249 to a higher rev (14,15, or 17) known to solve other graphics/sound issues in the past with this game or others?

Softmodded via wiihacks softmod or? DVD5/DVD9? You didn't answer those questions. Also, Rev 17 (if this is a DVD9) is best --- look here.

Not sure about the softmodded via wiihacks or not, but I softmodded the wii a year or more ago using Twilight Hack installed HBC and Bootmii and have updated HBC to latest, I didn't use a wiihacks guide or utility if thats what you are asking.
    DVD9.

I'll try upping my ios249 tomorrow, any other help/suggestions or related information is much appreciated.

Was the DVD9 ripped or burned with a "broken" cIOS (so many revisions of it didn't work with dual layer media)? If so, the resultant image will be corrupted and may manifest so...

Should be a clean rip, have had success with backing up other dual-layer games so I think I should be ok on that front.
