Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I've been trying to get this bloody game working fully for a couple of weeks. I always had 1 and 2 working, but three just wouldn't work.Patched the image to use ios36 cuz i have cioscorp,no go.Patched it to ios249 using rev13a and b,no go. Finally i read that there was a bad iso going around where MP3 would not work no matter what. So i got a couple different images, patched em to ios36 and BOOM all are working through the disc channel without using any alt. dols.Just wanted to share.Peace.

First I am a bit of a newbie but understand what you are saying. I have 2 questions though...

1st how do you patch an image to ios36?

2nd do you remember where you got, or what was different about you working "image" before you patched?

    Thx
    ND

PS Too bad you could not post the final working image as a torrent, lol.

To Change what IOS a game uses, you need to get a pc tool called IOSPatcher (use google) and drag the iso file onto the exe. it will tell you what IOS the game is currently using and will allow you to input which IOS you want it to use.

I believe he may have used a 1:1 (untouched) iso which means nothing was removed or editted from the iso.

Tryed this and still no go. Reboots when I start a game and still can't open metroid prime 3 even using alt.dol method.

    1) Make sure your HDD is formatted to WBFS (Can be done by using WBFS Manager)

2)Install the .iso of the game using WBFS Manager

    3) Launch NeoGamma, use the needed settings and select USB as the slot you're going to use to load.

I read your easy way and hard way on the first page, do I have to do any of that to run it off my HDD? I dont want to have to burn it to a disk first, I loaded the iso on the hdd using WFBS. Do I have to all that other crap (scrub, rename dols, etc.?) What are the needed settings?

You can use the easy way in the tutorial but instead of burning to disc use a usb loader

I'm using neogamma r7. I can choose from these options:
    region options
    config options
    rebooter options
    use rebooter
    credits
    exit os

I didnt see an 002 fix under any of them. And I chose alt.dol USB and I got an "USB Error" and Game ID R3ME01.

In NeoGamma R7 the 002 fix is built in. So simply put it is always on. Also make sure that your hard drive is properly formatted to WBFS
