Black screen when launching Neogamma Backup Loader 0.3?

Hey! I'm new here.

I put Homebrew Channel, etc. on my 4.1E Wii.
I then followed this guide: HOWTO: Install Backup Launcher and play Wii games direct from blank DVDs Ade's Softmodding Wii blog
and all the guides it says you also need...

Well, it installed all the wads perfectly and on my system menu I now have the Neogamma Backup Launcher. However, when I select it and press START, it just gives me a black screen... also when I hold 1 (for configuration) it gives me a black screen. it does this with and without a disc in the slot.
There's no extras attached to the wii except for the SD card in the slot.

Can someone help me please?

I have this black screen as well.
I have been working on softmodding my Wii for the past 3 days, using google and browsing forums.

Here's a resume of how things went on my side -

I have Wii version 4.2U
Installed homebrew channel
I used the Trucha Bug and followed a guide and had no problem.
Installed CIOS249 with no problem

Can load homebrew and WAD no problem so far. But when it comes to back-up launchers, they didn't work, most likely a miss on my part. So I looked into it more, noticed a couple other CIOS related things, so I installed more, the "cios intaller" that came with Back-up Launcher Gamma 0.3 and "CIOS38 rev.14", no error occurred.

I still have no problem with anything, except now when I try to run a back-up loader, my Wii freezes on a black screen, so I'm in a worst situation than before.

Any idea what might be the problem here?

I have this problem too. I first installed the "NeoGamma R7 - NGR7.wad" with WadManager. The new NeoGamma channel appeared but became black after pressing Start (with or without DVD). Second I uninstall the R7 and install "NeoGamma R8 Beta 15 - NGR8.wad". Nothing changed. Maybe the D3-2 chip causes this.

The same thing is happening to me.....after the 3.3-4.1 softmod tutorial i did. the neogamma thats loaded on my channel screen , it does not run...i get the black screen after i press start !

ok i figuered out my problem , it might help you too.......since the gamma wasnt loading after WAD installation i started googling for the actual APP folder for gamma ...and i found this NeoGammaR8beta13.zip the app folder for GAMMA r8 ..........copy the six files into you APP folder in the SD card and run the gamma from homebrew ........worked for me!

The NeoGamma folder contains only 3 files. What are the six files you mentioned?

I have the same problem as all of the people above. I successfully installed neogamma and animal crossing city folks on the wii menu but when I tried to launch them ,my wiimote doesnt sync and the screen blacks out! I really need help!!!! Help wii experts!:confused:

I reinstall IOS249 using this guide: http://gwht.wikidot.com/ios249
I think this is enough, but further compatibility with USB Loader I installed the Hermes' IOS222/223: GAF's Wii Homebrew Tutorial: Hermes' Ios222/223

everyone needs to get an updated ver of neogamma.....

if that does not work try USB LOADER GX - it has a disc loader inside the program...
