Alternate DOL's List

Before Alternate DOL's, there were certain games that could not be played through the USB Loader.

Using Alternate DOL's now allow you to play these games listed below through the USB Loader

RedSteel
(NTSC-U) (PAL)
Extract redsteel.dol - Rename to REDE41.dol

Medal Of Honor: Heroes 2
(NTSC-U) (PAL)
Extract game.dol - Rename to RM2E69.dol

The House Of The Dead 2
(NTSC-U) (PAL)
Extract hod2.dol - Rename to RHDE8P.dol

SSX Blur
(NTSC-U) (PAL)
Extract ssx.dol - Rename to RSXE69.dol

Indiana Jones And The Staff Of Kings
(NTSC-U) (PAL)
Extract fateatlantis.dol - Rename to RJ8E64.dol

Mortal Kombat Armageddon
(NTSC-U) (PAL)
Extract MK7.dol - Rename to RKME5D.dol

Boogie
(NTSC-U)(PAL)
Extract ssx.dol - Rename to RBOE69.dol

Wii Sports Resort
(NTSC-U)
Extract player.dol - Rename to RZTE01.dol

For PAL, extract your dol and change the 4th letter from an E to P when you rename it.

To apply these dols to usbloadergx:

  • Make a new folder on your SD card and name it "alt-dols"
  • Place the DOL file in your alternate DOL folder..
  • Run the loader, and change the custom path for alternate DOL's to "SD:\alt-dols\"
  • Bring up the game you want, open up settings, and turn alternate DOL to ON

ugh! I'm frustrated that no one's telling me how to put iso's onto a usb drive! How do you do it anyways? My flash drive is 8GB and it says it can't hold 4.37GB when it's empty! On a side note, when I change the alternate dol, does it work if I burn a disk?

To put ISOs on your USB hard disk use WBFS Manager.

You can find it [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register].

Enjoy

1. Fat32 partitions can't handle files bigger than 4 GB
2. To use USB Loader, You'll need the WBFS Filesystem
3. WBFS Manager is great for making/handling WBFS partitions.

The other thing you can do in usb loader gx is do alt dol from disc and select the dol that is needed and load it that way. Just a quick heads up to people.

You extract the .dols from the iso by using Wii Scrubber. Just Load the iso and browse for the correct .dol

If you dont have wiiscrubber, here's the latest version:
