    4.1 sysmenu problem

    Hey guys, having a problem booting to the sysmenu in 4.1 with preloader 2.9

    When I boot to sysmenu, I see 4.1(usa) in the bottom right corner. It never progresses pass that point. I have to hold down the power button on the console to restart it.

    I've followed http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...s-any-wii.html as well as followed the directions for neogamma and preloader. I can get the sysmenu up by reinstalling the sysmenu 4.1 wad, thus, uninstalling preloader. (I have bootmii and the nand backed up just in case) When I get the sysmenu up, the wii backup launcher has been installed, and seems to work. I have copy and pasted over the hack.ini with Preloader/hacks - WiiBrew.

    Any Ideas?

    Sorry if this is something really easy, I'm new around here.

    I'll have to check that when I get home. Can you tell me what they should be? I know I turned on a number of hacks, but can't remember which hacks I turned on.

    What have you done since installing Preloader, because if you updated Preloader will have to be installed again.

    I just started this two days ago. My wii was updated to 4.1 before using bannerbomb and installing HBC and BOOTMII. I then followed the guide for the cios with trutcha, then installed the preloader, then installed neogamma.

    I would say that Neogamma has corrupted Preloader, as they both use sysmenu IOS.
    Reinstall preloader.

    I guess I should have said that I tried to reinstal preloader multiple times with the same outcome.

    I would boot to homebrew after it would freeze, then load the preloader again. It would take me to the preloader menu. I would choose -system menu. It would just freeze again. Should I uninstall neogamma, then try?

    I think you may have to reinstall system menu;

    Check with Dogeggs, send him Public Message, he is the GURU.

    Reinstalling sysmenu is how I get it back up, but when you reinstall sysmenu, it basically uninstalls preloader. Neogamma, however, stays loaded. You can see it as a channel when you reload sysmenu 4.1. I then go to reinstall preloader, and it borks again.

    I'm just really glad I did a bit of reading before hand, and have my bootmii set up, just in case. I'll shoot dogeggs a message and see if he can take a look at this thread. I may just need to start from square one again and see how that goes. Thanks for the help so far!
