Ok, now I'm really getting frustrated as I still can't get backups (or original discs) to play. I'm Running 3.2U and IOS249 (Rev 9).

When I try to run a game in NeoGamma 6 I get (DVD Read error 972)

Could it be that I need to switch my IOS? Is anyone else having success with this configuration?

use cIOS38 rev13a, search on this forum and you will find it, install that throught network install and neogamma will work, I've done this i know it works, any dvd errors are due to burn/media/wii laser/peanut butter in the drive/cat urine/you see where im going...

personally id go with rev 10 it plays all the new stuff like ghostbusters etc if ur using neogamma r4 or higher ( i know it works on r4) because rev13a is a little buggy from my personal experience

I'm still getting DVD read error 972. Starting to think it may be the way I am burning .iso's. I have tried numerous methods of burning these, but NeoGamma R6 (IOS249, Rev 13) will not read them.

If there are any other Mac users out there running backups successfully through NeoGamma, please let me know what method you're using to burn them.

SAME HERE PEOPLE!!! 972 (using Verbatim-r's (every speed on 2 dvd burners) (im on PC Winxp sp3 - Maybe not just a mac issue?)

edit:FORGOT TO MENTION original games still work fine through neogamma, downloaded backups do not work at all for me! Have not tried backing up an original and tested as yet.

I started with a PAL 3.1e wii > officially updated via a PAL UK Wii (LEH) then followed Assassda's guide [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]
and updated to PAL 4.0e with hbc and bootmii installed to boot2. Also have preloader.

I have bootmii installed to boot2 and hbc works ok.

I am having issue with NEOGammer Latest version R6 as it keeps giving me an error 792. I have used 2 different dvd drives (pioneer 112d 16x & Liteon 20x) to burn about 8 isos to (16x capable Verbatim -r burnt at 2x,4x,8x,12x,16x, also 3 Phillips DVD-r @ 2x,4x,8x. Both were burnt mainly with img burn. I also tried nero on a few occasions

If i can get to the point where i can launch the neogamma app, Does this mean the guide worked successfully?

I have read in many places that verbatim dvd-r's are the best for burning backups. Is it at all possible that one of the ios or Cios that i installed following the offline got corrupted or didn't install properly?
I followed your offline guide to the letter.

My question is after following this guide, can i just remove the neogamma folder from my apps folder on the sd card and replace it with a different version, or can I have multiple Version releases side by side in the same folder with different folder names. additionally is it cool to put a folder for gamma 0.3 & neogamma6 in the apps folder. Will this mess up all the great advice that you have provided me with in your offline guide and partially-brick my wii. (I have nand backup)

Please help us with the error 792 as it is pretty much ungoogleable - just this and one other post through google search. Why is is just us three people? Did anyone install neogamma on the approxiametely 24 hours ago?

Will updating the ios in order to run gamma 0.3 screw up up any other iso's?

Preloader also seems to work ok. Does preloader interfere with neogamma6 to your knowledge?

Should I go my nearest disc shop and get 2 of each brand of disk that they have in the store when i have used VERBATIM media which everyone says is the best for wii backups?

In the meantime i want to know whats possible at the moment as i cant cant seem to get a straight answer from anyone in terms of whether running apps and updating the ios's to try gamma 0.3 rather than Neogamma6 will semi-brick my wii or indeed fix this rare issue!!!

Sorry to write so much guys but i think we need to share more info on this topic!

Anyone of you using cIOS36_rev10 wads at the moment???? if so apparently they are buggy, i've been advised to try downloading them again!! I'll be back with more info soon!

DONT CLICK IT YET OR RUN IT THOUGH THE MAIN WII MENU AS IM NOT SURE THIS IS A SAFE WAY TO ENTER THE GAME THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps, if you dont have any form of protection i.e you dont have a NAND backup or have bootmii and preloader installed DEFINATALY dont risk it yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we could all run it through the wii menu then what would be the point in having backup loader such as neogamma and gamma 0.3 in the first place.
THINK ABOUT IT FIRST PEEPS!!!! I'll get back to you on that one!!!!!

UPDATES:
I have recently put neogamma version 3-6 on my sd card at the same time (just named them as folders like neogamma1,neogamma2 etc and get the following errors.

(update - wii read error 782 when using all 10 different backups i burnt previously (when using Neogamma R5 instead of 6)
(update - wii read error 721 when using all 10 different backups i burnt previously (when using Neogamma R4)
(update - wii read error 559 when using all 10 different backups i burnt previously (when using Neogamma R3)

I have also noticed that every bu apart from gh0stnus3ers displays it name and animation/Title squence through the main wii menu in the wii's original disc channel. Is this a good thing or would this happen anyway (i have not installed CIOSCORP as yet - should this happen?

DOES THE WII MENU SHOW YOU THE LOGO OF THE GAME?????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????and the animation i.e dan king boxing game inserted into WII > wii then shows the title and animation in the main WII disc loader screen/box.

Are we all getting the same errors for each of these???

when in the menu screen just put your disc in and see if you see the title/ani of the game logo.
If it shows the title, just try other discs and see if they show up!

i.e eject> next disc inserted > title shows (yes/no), eject, insert next back up and so on without clicking on it and starting it through main wii menu disk loader.

Let me know your results!!! asap if possible!!!

I use wad install on all versions of the cIOS with no problems, I remember when rev10 first came out there was a version that was buggy, perhaps you got the buggy copy, did you try wanankoko's site for rev10?

Daymare is right. I'm pretty frustrated.

The next thing I'm gonna try is a wii lens cleaner, but I'll be surprised if that's the solution as my lens was just fine until the day I softmodded.
